Children communicate through their behavior. Behavioral problems may occur when we misunderstand what a child is trying to tell us. Parents may find themselves continuously addressing the same behaviors and wondering why their child keeps repeating these behaviors. This workshop will help parents get under the behavior and discover what it is a child is trying to tell you. The workshop will provide simple, yet effective tools for managing behavior issues. We'll explore the role of development, how to read a child's temperament in the context of "too much, too little or just right" and share strategies to assist parents in better understanding the language of behavior.   Day/Date:
Wednesday, October 19
Time: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Location: Franklin High School, 218 Oak Street
Cost: $25                               REGISTER

In 2016, the Senate held 469 roll call votes, more than double those held in 2015. The near 500 votes pertained to legislation including topics such as the fiscal year 2017 budget, pay equity, economic development, energy diversity and MBTA fare increases. Throughout the remainder of the year, the Senate is continuing to hold informal sessions and will return to formal sessions in January 2016."

Last year, we made history with The Great Thanksgiving Listen. More than 100,000 Americans took part in our drive to preserve the stories and voices of an entire generation over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Working with teachers and students, we preserved tens of thousands of intergenerational stories in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress using the free StoryCorps app. Hear from StoryCorps Founder and President Dave Isay in this 2016 TED Talk about #TheGreatListen pilot year and some of the incredible stories it generated.

This November, download the app, invite a family member or elder to sit with, and join us in preserving more precious wisdom than ever before.

if there were to be a bylaw, it would be part of the public hearing process (2 public hearings) for local and larger businesses to come and present their issues (if any)
