190th General Court in session
This month, we have many stories on activities at the State House and in the 10th Norfolk District. The new session of the Massachusetts General Court opened with great ceremony on January 4, and you can view photos from the session by clicking here.
Bill filing was underway immediately and over 5,700 items were filed by members of the House and Senate. Over the next two years, each of those bills will receive a public hearing before a committee, and begin the navigation through the legislative process. I filed 24 bills focusing on education, manufacturing, economic development, public safety, commuting, and consumer protection. You can find more details on the bills by clicking here.
In addition, all legislators are waiting to learn about committee and leadership assignments which are expected to occur in February.
As always, I thank you for your continued support and friendship, and look forward to working with you over the next two years.
