Advanced Proposal Writing

Nonprofit organizations often seek grant support but fall short in receiving the award. Learn how to present your case for support no matter the type or size of grant you are requesting. This session will sharpen your grantseeking skills by making your proposal more competitive. From an introduction to logic models to making your case for support using 2,000 or less characters, this workshop will help you prepare successful paper and paperless proposal narratives including those to the different levels of government. There will be a discussion on the use of meaningful charts and other visual aids to help reviewers quickly understand the intent of your proposed project. You will also learn techniques to use when preparing proposals to obtain grants for capacity-building projects and capital campaigns.

Massachusetts 401(k) CORE Plan for Small Nonprofits Webinar

Most people agree, offering a retirement plan to your employees is important. It's an effective way to help attract, retain, and reward key talent. Studies have shown that employees aren't likely to save on their own; they are much more likely to save through a workplace retirement plan – and they look to their employers to provide one.

The Commonwealth, appreciates all the great work nonprofits do across the state, and also know it can be difficult for small, nonprofits to find a quality, affordable retirement plan. That's why they created the Massachusetts 401(k) CORE Plan ("CORE"). If you have 20 or fewer W-2 employees, this Plan may be available to you. Join us at this webinar to learn about the CORE Plan!

Keeping or Getting Coverage through MassHealth and the Health Connector

MassHealth needs to renew coverage for all members to make sure they are still eligible and receive the best benefit they qualify for. Join staff from MassHealth as they explain what members need to do to update their information and how to renew their MassHealth coverage.

Some people may find out they don't qualify for MassHealth anymore, so staff from the Health Connector will explain how they could get coverage and may get help paying for it through the Health Connector.
