Girls Soccer = Franklin, 2 @ Foxboro, 3 – Final
– Foxboro rallied from a goal down twice and freshman Brenna Turner delivered the go-ahead goal 10 minutes into the second half to lift the Warriors to the upset and their first win of the season. Franklin got the first goal, but Foxboro quickly equalized. Kennedy Maling teed up Shea Dorney for a shot from just outside the box (her second goal in as many games) to make it 1-1. The Panthers regained the advantage and went into halftime in front. Less than a minute into the second half, Maling slipped a through ball to Ava Picard, who was fouled in the box. Picard converted the penalty to make it 2-2. Ten minutes later, Turner won the ball in midfield and fired a shot over the keeper’s head for what turned out to be the winner. Foxboro’s defense held out for the final half hour, Keira D’Arcy, Ashley Goldstein, Mia Flanagan, and Ella Carton had impressive performances and Julia Luck backed them up by making several key saves.
