Boys Cross Country = Stoughton, 31 @ Franklin, 27 – Final
– Stoughton made an impressive statement at the front of the race, but Franklin’s depth answered in a big way as the Panthers packed five runners into the next six spots to pull out the home win. The Black Knights went one-two behind Trevor Martorana (17:40.3) and Matt Pritchard (17:48.1), but Franklin responded immediately with Sawyer Laing (17:50.4), Ethan Riley (17:51.0), and Ryan O’Connor (17:56.6) crossing third, fourth, and fifth, respectively. Stoughton’s Colin Geaney (17:57.3) broke up the Franklin pack with a sixth-place finish, but Andrew Bairos (18:16.7) and Nicholas Mitchell (18:24.1) came through in seventh and eighth to close out the Panthers’ scoring and secure the narrow victory. Joel Omidiji (18:51.5) and Jaden Casillas (19:55.8) rounded out Stoughton’s top five.
Girls Cross Country = Stoughton, 50 @ Franklin, 18 – Final
– Franklin packed five runners into the top six to cruise to the home win, led by a tight one-two finish from Annabelle Santiago and Keelan Donnelly. Santiago crossed first in 23:21.9, just ahead of Donnelly in 23:22.4, while Stoughton’s Savannah Mulholland broke up the Franklin pack with a third-place finish in 23:23.4. The Panthers then took the next three spots behind Sasha Ignatova (23:33.3), Abigail Liang (23:37.5), and Emma Riley (23:46.5) to close out the scoring. Stoughton was unable to field a full scoring team, with Kaniah Washington (25:02.0) and Jadae Fray (28:33.4) also finishing for the Black Knights.
