FHS volleyball, field hockey, and boys soccer (video) teams post wins on Monday

Via Instagram, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Fall sports competition for Franklin High School on Monday, September 14, 2026


Boys Soccer = Milford, 0 @ Franklin, 1 – Final
– Senior Deacon Eglintine deposited a free kick from midfield over the keeper with just two minutes left to deliver Franklin a crucial division win against visiting Milford. Sophomore Varun Mathew was fouled just before midfield and as the Hawks retreated, Eglintine blasted one and got it over the diving goalie for the lone goal of the game.

Franklin, 8 @ Milford, 3 – Final 
– Franklin scored five times in the first half and cruised to a big win at Milford. Lily Strong scored three times before the break to help the Panthers pull away. Kyla Nashawaty scored all three goals for the Hawks in an even second half.

Field Hockey = Franklin, 2 @ Foxboro, 1 – Final
– Franklin rallied from a rare halftime deficit to prevail in a great battle on the road at Foxboro. Sophomore Mallory Feetham put the Warriors in front in the second quarter, but sophomore Cade Taccini pulled Franklin level in the third off an assist from junior Penelope Brady. Senior Caydence Canavan then scored the go-ahead goal in the fourth with just four minutes to go. Foxboro generated heavy pressure late, earning three corners in the final minute and putting shots on net on the first two before Franklin cleared the final chance wide after time expired. Junior goalie Elise Ackerman made four outstanding saves for the Panthers, while Franklin’s defense of senior Jossie Camp, juniors Clara Blongastainer and Sammy Feigen, and sophomore Rhian Schlitzer held firm down the stretch. “I am so proud of this team for rallying in the second half to come from behind and score two goals to win the game,” Franklin head coach Michelle Hess said.

Volleyball = Franklin, 3 @ Foxboro, 0 – Final
– Marley Lindenmeyer served up 12 aces and added three kills and five digs to power Franklin to another convincing win, sweeping Foxboro 25-7, 25-18, 25-10. Ellie Lindenmeyer dished out 10 assists to go with seven aces and three digs, while Phoebe O’Connor also had 10 assists and three aces. Emerson Delleo chipped in five kills, two aces, and seven digs, Gianna Laurello added three kills, an ace, and five digs, and Maeve Connelly finished with three kills and four aces.
