The EnChorus! A Show Choir for Adults Ages 18 & up from Encore Music Academy & Recording Studios.

Our latest class addition in 2024, the EnChorus is our first adult singing group!

Open to anyone who loves singing, this class focuses on choral arrangements of contemporary music, jazz, a capella and show tunes.

Students will learn about singing in an ensemble, healthy vocal technique and introductory music reading skills. No prior experience needed.

Exactly 60 years ago this week, the Beatles reached the number one spot on the Billboard charts in the US for the very first time with the song "Love Me Do." It seems only fitting then that The Encore EnHarmonix proudly releases their very own Beatles tribute album, "FAB," this week on all digital platforms, including Apple, Spotify, Amazon, and YouTube, to name a few.

This album, re-imagined and produced by Lisa Ostrow, engineered and mastered by Emma Newton, with arrangements by Emma Newton and Patrick Dreier, is performed by The Encore EnHarmonix, a group of very talented young singers, ages 9 to 18, directed by Rebecca Abalutzk.

All profits from the sale of this album and their previous five albums go directly to the Encore Music Education Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit, 501[c][3] organization dedicated to providing scholarships and subsidies to deserving music students and programs.

Encore Music Academy: 5 Students awarded Regional Gold Medals of Excellence

It is with great pride and excitement that we announce that five Encore students have been awarded Regional Gold Medals of Excellence for the academic year 2021-2022 with the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program. 

These students attained the single highest score for their level on their instrument in the region which includes the following states: MA, RI, CT, ME, VT, NH, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, and WV. We extend heartfelt congratulations to the students and their instructors for the talent, hard work, dedication, and perseverance it takes to achieve such a tremendous honor. 

Congratulations go out to:

Encore Music Updates: Changes for Fall 2021

Changes in rates, Fall registration procedure, and announcing a new partnership!

View this email in your browser July 12, 2021   Dear Valued Encore Families:   We hope you all had a wonderful July 4th weekend despite the weather, and we are happy to be welcoming many of you back as we proceed with our Summer Session!    We are writing with some very important updates:   RATES ARE CHANGING   Periodically, we have found it necessary to increase our lesson and class pricing in keeping with the economy, and we endeavor to do this no more than once every two years or so. This year after COVID, we will be adjusting pricing beginning with Fall Registration on Monday, July 19 at noon via phone. This will be a 5% increase on average, but please check with the front office at time of registration to learn your instructor's new rate. This rate increase will not affect summer lessons at all, but will be in effect for all Fall registrants.   REGISTRATION FORMS   When you call to register, you will be emailed a registration form that will need to be filled out immediately upon receipt and sent back to the front office at:   encoremusicacademy1@gmail.com   Your chosen lesson time will be held for 24 hours and is predicated upon receipt of registration form AND payment. If both are not received in that 24-hour period, the lesson time will be released into the pool once again.    Please be sure to read all information on the registration form, as it contains all of our policies and procedures, and sign it.   The annual registration fee of $30 will be assessed at time of registration.     IN-PERSON OR ONLINE Beginning with our Fall Registration on Monday, July 19 at noon via phone, you will have the opportunity to choose how you would like your student to attend lessons. The world and times are changing, and we want to be in step. We will be back in-person at 3 Bent Street beginning the Tuesday after Labor Day, and all students are welcome back. We understand, however, that some may wish to remain online, so when registering, please let the office know if you are registering for online lessons or for in-person lessons. We intend to offer both options on a permanent basis.   SCHEDULING AND MAKE-UPS   All scheduling and make-ups will continue to be handled via email or phone on a permanent basis. If you need to reschedule, please contact the front office at (508) 533-7700, ext. 101, or email us at:                          encoremusicacademy1@gmail.com INSTRUMENT RENTALS AND PURCHASES Encore is thrilled to announce our partnership with The Music Wagon, LLC, to provide our students and students in the surrounding areas the opportunity to rent or purchase instruments at Encore! Options for rental, rent to own, and outright purchase are available and all you need to do is visit our website and click on the rentals link or call us at (508) 533-7700, Ext. 101. Additionally, you can scan this QR code and it will take you directly to our rental page. If you are heading back to school and need a band instrument, a string instrument, or a keyboard or guitar, we've got you covered! And, best of all, if you can't come to us, we'll bring your instrument to you!   REFERRAL PROGRAM   Encore has, since we opened our doors in 2012, offered a referral program to our current families. Refer a student to us, and when that student registers and remains for a minimum of one month, the referring family will receive a free lesson. Please be sure to let the registering student know to mention your name when they register so that you may receive credit.    As always, we are grateful to all of you for your continued support of Encore and our mission. In-Person Lessons Returning to Encore and More

View this email in your browser June 9, 2021 - Letter to Families   Dear Encore Families and Friends: Re-imagining Encore over the past fifteen months has been a challenge for us all, and we are grateful to each and every one of you who chose to travel these uncharted waters together with us, who put faith in us, and who believed in us and our mission to ensure that music lessons and classes would continue and that, despite the trials and tribulations that the pandemic incurred, our students would still experience the joy of music.  And now, we are re-imagining Encore again, this time with new and innovative approaches to learning.  Beginning in September with the Fall trimester, Encore will return to in-person learning, with all classes and lessons back up and running, but there is a twist! We will also be continuing to offer lessons and some classes via our virtual Encore Zoom platform! Families who still feel uncomfortable sending their children into Encore for in-person lessons will have the opportunity to choose to remain online. Students who live far away from Encore can choose to do the same. Students who are sick on their lesson day and are unable to travel will have the opportunity to do the day's lesson online rather than miss it altogether; we would just need notice by 9:00 a.m. that morning if that will be the case.  It is our belief that in-person lessons are always preferable; however, as the needs of our families and the times we live in are changing, so must we. We encourage in-person lessons whenever possible, but offer the option and opportunity for online substitutions when necessary. When you register for the Fall, be sure to indicate whether you will be studying online or in-person.   Now some announcements: SUMMER LESSONS and CLASSES Registration for summer lessons and classes is ongoing. The summer session begins on Monday, July 5, and runs for eight weeks. Encore's hours change for the summer: We are open Monday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  During the summer time, we encourage as many lessons as possible in order to maintain technique, but understand that families travel and schedules vary. For this reason, you can choose as many lessons or as few lessons as fits your schedule, and they can be at different times each week. To sign up for summer lessons, please call the office at: (508) 533-7700 x101.  FALL REGISTRATION  Registration for the Fall opens on Monday, July 19, at 12:00 p.m. and is on a first-come, first-served basis. We will accept registration via phone only, so please call the office at: (508) 533-7700. When registering, please indicate whether you will be studying online or in-person.  COVID POLICY We continue to monitor the ever-changing CDC Guidelines and will modify our COVID policies accordingly. At this point in time, we will be requesting proof of vaccination for all students, ages 12 and up. If your child has been vaccinated, please forward a scan of their vaccination card to the office where it will be placed in their file. We are not requiring students to be vaccinated; however, those who are not vaccinated will be required to wear a mask when on Encore's premises.  Faculty and staff who are not vaccinated will wear masks at all times in order to protect our students.  Vaccinated faculty, staff, and students do not need to wear masks. We are requesting that students be dropped off for lessons and classes. Parents may not wait in the building for the time being, and we will update you when this changes. All scheduling will continue to be accomplished over the phone or via email, even when we return to in-person in September. Payments can be made over the phone, or through your QuickBooks invoice, your bank or via mailed check.  Parents of MYC® students who must participate in the classes need to provide proof of vaccination to the office, or must remain masked at all times.  We have truly missed all of our students and families and can not wait until we can see you again, in-person at last!!
