“MetroFest unites residents, visitors, and businesses together from the MetroWest area and is the largest arts and culture event of its kind in the region,” says Erin Lynch, Executive Director of the MetroWest Visitors Bureau.  This is the 9th year for MetroFest and we are excited to continue to showcase the tremendous assets across this region. There is so much to do and see!  The MetroWest region possesses such amazing cultural diversity and that is what we highlight at MetroFest--from the food and music to activities, community entertainment, tastings of the region’s locally produced beer and hard cider, businesses and activities.  There is something for everyone and this is a family friendly, FREE event.  Come one, come all, and relish in the richness of the region.”

He was in Plainville with his GBG 13U team, suited up for a doubleheader against Nakona.
Two innings later, his life changed.
Chin was starting in right field. A Nakona hitter scorched a ball into the right-center gap and Chin raced after it. So did the center fielder. No one called for it. The ensuing collision was ugly, and Chin suffered the brunt of it"

Rev. Dr. Debbie Clark, Open Spirit
We've all been there. You find yourself in a situation where you know you are witnessing harm being done to another person and you want to intervene. But how? What do you say? How do you go from being a passive onlooker to an active bystander?

This Lunch and Learn will introduce Training Active Bystanders which has been brought to MetroWest through a collaboration between Open Spirit and Jewish Family Services.

Rev. Dr. Debbie Clark and a TAB trainer will give an overview of the training developed by Quabbin Mediation which draws upon research and the wisdom of the gathered participants to identify barriers to active bystandership and develop ways to overcome them. You will leave this Lunch and Learn with a better understanding and tools to move from silence to action in 2022.
