** Boys Soccer = Taunton, 1 @ Franklin, 3 – Final
– Franklin picked up a win at home to qualify for the state tournament. Senior Donny Tappin orchestrated all three goals, setting up Ben Moccia for the first two goals of the net. Tappin then assisted on a goal from Charlie Amante to help Franklin secure the win.
** Girls Soccer = Franklin, 5 @ Taunton, 0 – Final
Bridgette Ginley scored twice in the first half to help secure Franklin’s spot in the state tournament. Ginley scored 10 minutes into the game off an assist by Sydney St. Marie and then added Franklin’s third with four minutes to go in the half, off an assist by Chloe Barca. Anna Grasso had the second, from Anna Balkus. In the second half, Sabrina Addi scored an unassisted goal and Rachel Hogan got the fifth, assisted by Bridget Leo. Taunton goalie Grace Pimenta made at least a dozen saves to keep the Tigers close.
