CALL TO ACTION: Flying the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag in Franklin! We encourage you to attend the town council meeting Wednesday at 7pm! The town council will be discussing and voting on a town flag policy that would allow the town to fly a PRIDE flag in June. A flag flown during PRIDE would demonstrate the town's support of LGBTQ+ residents of Franklin. This is a goal many in our community have been working towards for a long while. You can show your support by attending the council meeting, and by contacting your councilors and letting them know how you feel! A few notes: Citizens will not be given the opportunity to comment on the flag policy during the council meeting, since it is already an item on the agenda. However, your presence in the audience will show the council just how many people this flag policy is important to. We may end up meeting other residents with different viewpoints about flying the PRIDE flag. Remember that even if we disagree we can still demonstrate civility in our interactions. |
