Via Twitter and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Spring sports competition for Franklin High School on Saturday, Apr 13, 2024.
Baseball = Sharon, 0 @ Franklin, 3 – Final
– Franklin did all of its damage offensively in the fourth inning while senior Matt Miller had a spectacular outing on the mound in a 3-0 win over Sharon. Miller tossed a complete game one-hitter for the Panthers, surrendering just a leadoff single in the fourth while retiring the side in order in the other six innings. He didn’t allow any walks and added eight strikeouts in the win. In the bottom of the fourth, sophomore Sean Kryzak had a one-out bunt single and came flying around from first to score on a double from junior Zach Winer. Winer eventually scored on a passed ball and Cole Sidwell, who reached on a single, stole second, and advanced to third on the passed ball, came home on a sacrifice fly from senior Jake Shaughnessy. Sharon’s Cole Arundale was solid on the mound with three runs allowed (two earned) on five hits and one walk, striking out seven in six innings.

Franklin football coach Eian Bain has been hired as the new head coach at Bridgewater-Raynham. Bain spent the last eight seasons of the helm of the Panthers. Great hire for the Trojans. #hockomock
