Ellis Paul is a celebrated singer-songwriter whose vivid, story-rich songs explore the human condition with honesty and heart. Influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and especially Woody Guthrie, he blends personal experience with social insight to create music that feels both timely and timeless. 

Raised in Maine and emerging from Boston's folk scene, he has since released 23 albums, toured extensively, and earned numerous honors including the Kerrville New Folk Award, 15 Boston Music Awards, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Maine. 

His music has appeared in films such as Me, Myself & Irene and Shallow Hal, and his latest album, 55, reflects on gratitude in a challenging era.

Doors open at 7:00 pm. 

Celebrating 16 years together, Celtic-American roots "super group" RUNA pushes the boundaries of Irish folk music by blending the melodies of Ireland and Scotland with the harmonies and rhythms of jazz, bluegrass, flamenco, and blues. The result is a vibrant, contemporary take on traditional music that's earned them a reputation as one of the most innovative Irish folk groups of their generation.

Drawing on the diverse backgrounds of its members, RUNA's sound reflects both tradition and modernity. The band features vocalist and step-dancer Shannon Lambert-Ryan (Philadelphia), GRAMMY-nominated guitarist Fionán de Barra (Dublin), percussionist Cheryl Prashker (Canada), fiddler Jake James (New York), and mandolinist/vocalist Tom Fitzgerald (Canada).

Richard Shindell Concert scheduled for Oct 18 at the Circle of Friends Coffeehouse is CANCELED

Due to a family emergency, Richard Shindell has canceled his tour and will not be performing on Oct. 18th at the Circle of Friends. If you have already purchased tickets, you will receive a refund through PayPal.

Honed by decades on the road, acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist Chris Smither delivers music that is equal parts folk, blues, and poetry. Influenced by the likes of Lightnin' Hopkins and Mississippi John Hurt, his signature fingerpicking style, foot-tapping rhythms, and deep, resonant voice have earned him a devoted international following. With songs recorded by artists such as Bonnie Raitt and Diana Krall, and twenty albums to his name—including his latest release All About the Bones (2024)—Smither remains a masterful performer whose live shows are as powerful as his songwriting.

Our first concert is on Sept.13th featuring Chris Smither followed by Richard Shindell on October 18th.
