The 5th Annual Pumpkin Patch and sale will be up and running from Sunday, September 29 to Thursday, October 31 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant Street, Franklin. 

A huge selection of pumpkins, gourds and colorful mum plants will fill the front lawn at St. John’s Church. Kids will have fun picking out their favorites. It’s a cute photo opportunity for families and a good time to start decorating for autumn.

Open 7 days a week, here’s the schedule:
  • Monday-Friday 4:00 PM-6:00 PM
  • Saturdays 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Sundays Noon-4:00 PM
  • Monday October 14, open all day from 10 AM to 4 PM
The pumpkins are grown using sustainable agricultural practices that help benefit the environment. They are grown in a region of New Mexico with 42% unemployment, providing jobs for Navajo people. Your purchase supports the Navajo Nation in New Mexico as well as St. John’s Church and its work and service here in our community.

4th Annual Pumpkin Patch & Sale opens October 2-31, 2023 at St. John’s Episcopal Church

The 4th Annual Pumpkin Sale will be open all month long from October 2 to 31 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant Street, Franklin. 

A huge selection of pumpkins and gourds of all sizes, shapes and colors will fill the front lawn at St. John’s Church. Kids of all ages will have fun picking out their favorites. It’s a good photo opportunity for families.

Interfaith Teen Climate Change group continues monthly - next May 7 at 7 PM

Join us on the first Sunday of each month to learn and plan advocacy toward slowing Climate Change to save our planet, and for Climate Justice (mitigating the effects of Climate Change on poor and BIPOC communities) in Franklin and beyond. 

All young people and adult advisors are welcome, regardless of religious affiliation. 

Join us Sunday, May 7  at 7 PM at St John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant Street in Franklin.

Rev Kathy offers a simple, informal service geared for young children at both Grace and St John’s. The services include stories, crafts or other activities, easy fun songs, and a simple Eucharist (Communion) totaling about 30 minutes.

All families are invited to join us Saturdays at 5pm:

Interfaith Teen Climate Change group to host guest speaker - Jan 22, 2023

We will have a special guest speaker on Sunday, Jan 22, 2023 at 7 PM: 

Eben Bein of Our Climate and the MA Youth Climate Coalition, and some of the youth he works with, to discuss Climate Justice (how Climate Change affects impoverished communities disproportionately), and also to speak about the upcoming Legislative Action Day on February 7 at the MA State House. This is an opportunity for youth to speak with legislators face to face about their concerns.

Reminder: Interfaith Teen Climate Change group scheduled to meet St John’s Episcopal Church - Jan 22

We had a small initial gathering with great discussion about how youth can make a difference in the fight against climate change. We watched a video of teen Swedish Climate Activist Greta Thunberg. The group is interested in learning more about Climate Justice - how climate change affects the poorest peoples disproportionately.

Reminder: New Children’s Service offered at St John’s Episcopal Church in 2023

St John’s will offer a simple, informal service geared for children on two Saturdays per month, beginning January 14 and January 28 at 5 PM

The services will include stories, crafts or other activities, easy fun songs, and a simple Eucharist (Communion) totaling about 40 minutes.
