4th Annual Pumpkin Patch & Sale returns October 2-31, 2023 at St. John’s Church

The 4th Annual Pumpkin Sale will be open all month long from October 2 to 31 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant Street, Franklin. 

A huge selection of pumpkins and gourds of all sizes, shapes and colors will fill the front lawn at St. John’s Church. Kids of all ages will have fun picking out their favorites. It’s a good photo opportunity for families.

Family activities will be offered every weekend in the Patch:
  • Music Together for families on Saturday, Oct 7 at 11 AM FREE
  • Pet Blessings and outdoor worship on Sunday, Oct 8 at 10 AM FREE
  • Pony Rides on Saturday, Oct 14 from 1-2 PM - $5 per ride
  • Beaded bracelets craft on Saturday, Oct 21 from 11 AM – 2 PM FREE
  • Haunted House on Saturday, Oct 28 FREE

Interfaith Teen Climate Change group continues monthly - next May 7 at 7 PM

Join us on the first Sunday of each month to learn and plan advocacy toward slowing Climate Change to save our planet, and for Climate Justice (mitigating the effects of Climate Change on poor and BIPOC communities) in Franklin and beyond. 

All young people and adult advisors are welcome, regardless of religious affiliation. 

Join us Sunday, May 7  at 7 PM at St John’s Episcopal Church, 237 Pleasant Street in Franklin.

Worship Services for Children offered on Selected Saturday Evenings

Rev Kathy offers a simple, informal service geared for young children at both Grace and St John’s. The services include stories, crafts or other activities, easy fun songs, and a simple Eucharist (Communion) totaling about 30 minutes.

All families are invited to join us Saturdays at 5pm: 
April 22, 29 and May 27 at Grace Episcopal Church, 104 N Washington St, North Attleboro

Interfaith Teen Climate Change group to host guest speaker - Jan 22, 2023

We will have a special guest speaker on Sunday, Jan 22, 2023 at 7 PM: 

Eben Bein of Our Climate and the MA Youth Climate Coalition, and some of the youth he works with, to discuss Climate Justice (how Climate Change affects impoverished communities disproportionately), and also to speak about the upcoming Legislative Action Day on February 7 at the MA State House. This is an opportunity for youth to speak with legislators face to face about their concerns.

A new Support Group for Parents of Children struggling with Mental Health, Autism, ADHD, or other challenges is forming at St John's

Love Parenting is a 6-week series created by Collette Potts, who also created the Love First children's curriculum that St John's uses.

Advent Series - Book Discussion And Daily Practice at St John's Episcopal

Join us on Zoom to discuss Fully Human, Fully Divine: an Advent Devotional for the whole self by Whitney R Simpson, which will introduce us to various forms of prayer and devotion. 

Please order soon and read thru page 43 during Thanksgiving week, then try the daily practices beginning November 27.

Teens: are you passionate about fighting climate change?

Several faith communities are joining together to form an Interfaith / Inter-town (Franklin & No Attleboro) group of youth to learn, teach, lead and act to save our planet. 

You don’t have to be a member of any faith community to be involved, and you can live in any town.

The first meeting will be on Sunday, December 4th at 7 PM at St John’s to gauge interest and plan our actions. 

Pizza provided. Please spread the word and bring your friends.

Pumpkin season is almost gone. St. John’s Church will be closing out its 3rd Annual Pumpkin and Gourd Sale on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

So there is time to get them before they close up Sunday!
