This class will introduce you to the art of Tai Chi and its many benefits. 2 Mondays, beginning May 1 $60/person  LaBlast Dance Fitness, Partner-free LaBlast is an energizing dance fitness program that uses easy to follow ballroom dance patterns. Students will learn the basic steps of several dance styles, while enjoying music from all genres. Classes are low impact and for all levels of fitness. Partner-free and no experience necessary.  8 Tuesdays, beginning April 4 - $80/person Country Line Dancing Test your dance moves. No partner needed! Line dancing is a group dance standing side-by-side in one or more lines while performing a series of choreographed dance moves in unison. While it is often done to country music, line dancing can also be done to pop music by artists such as Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran.  5 Thursdays, beginning May 11  - $50/person Ladies Light Hike Add dimensions to your walking or jogging - do you like the idea of hiking but don't want to go alone? Hiking is fantastic exercise as well as a great time to get some fresh air and explore new places. 6 weeks, beginning May 4 $30/person Community Walking Open to the public, September 19, 2022 thru May 25, 2023 Walk on the FHS indoor track or in the first floor hallways. Franklin Art Association - 2nd Paint Together! - Mar 18 at Escape Into Fiction

"Let's paint together!!  

The last paint-in was so successful, we've scheduled another one on March 18th, 10:15 - 1 pm at Escape into Fiction bookstore, 12 Main Street, Franklin.  Parking available in back of the bookstore.

Bring your own resource material or paint from a still life set up.  Tables, chairs, still life set up and drop clothes will be provided.

Students will have morning core classes to firm up skills, such as Theory, Piano Lab, and Recording Techniques, as well as the choice of several breakout classes in the afternoon, including Rock ‘N Pop Ensemble, The Singing Actor, Drum Circle and many more!

Introducing Encore’s Summer Music Camp!

Reminder: “Peonies: Love of My Life” - March 7 at 7 PM

The Franklin Garden Club, in conjunction with the Franklin Public Library, will co-sponsor a program on “Peonies: Love of My Life” on Tuesday, March 7, at 7:00 PM at the Franklin Library, 118 Main Street, Franklin, MA.  

The program, open to the public free of charge, will be presented by Christine Paxhia, an expert in growing peonies. This presentation features information on the history of peonies and how to select, install, care for and divide these beautiful and much-loved plants.  In addition, there will be a colorful photographic showcase of the many different varieties and types of peonies. Handouts will be available.

Paxhia has been a Massachusetts Master Gardener since 2012. Her appreciation and admiration for “growing things” started as a child on woodland hikes with her mother. At the age of ten she saw her first peony; today her Milton home garden is filled with 38 varieties (and growing!). 

A member of the Milton Garden Club, Christine is a Garden Club of America Photography Judge. She is the MMGA’s Project Manager for the Fletcher Steele Garden, Milton, which is home to an impressive peony collection. Christine is a graduate of the MMGA Speakers Bureau Training Program.
