For all ages, a day to frolic
Shirley takes play very seriously. This year, the town of 7,200 was the only town in Massachusetts recognized by the national group KaBOOM! as a “Playful City USA.’’ This was the fifth year in a row Shirley has received the award, and this year the town also won a $20,000 grant to help build a new playground at the Lura A. White Elementary School. The town has an official Play Board and members oversee the annual “Day of Play.’’Follow the link to the full article here
