FHS field hockey & volleyballs teams post wins, golf team takes 2nd in Hock Championships

Via Twitter and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the fall sports competition for Franklin High School on Wednesday, Oct 18, 2023. 


Field hockey = Franklin, 8 @ Taunton, 0 – Final 
– The Panthers pounced for three goals in each of the first two quarters to secure a big win on the road at Taunton. Emily Carney paced the offense with three goals and two assists while Chloe Essam chipped in with a pair of goals for Franklin. Brooke Taylor, Raena Campbell, and Sawyer Whitmore each scored once as well.

Volleyball = Franklin, 3 @ Taunton, 0 – Final
– Senior Grace Lacerda had a strong game at the net to help the Panthers pick up a sweep on the road, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-19). Lacerda notched seven hills on 0.583 hitting and added two blocks and an ace while sister Taylor Lacerda added nine kills, two blocks, and 11 digs in the win. Makayla Kuykendall (18 digs), Livi Alberti (one block), and Jenna Simone (two digs) each added four kills for Franklin.
