Reminder: Newcomers Craft Fair scheduled for Saturday, Nov 9 at Tri-County

The 49th annual Craft Fair is set for Saturday, November 9 at Tri-County High School in Franklin.

The event runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are again back in our original location in the lobby, hallways and cafeteria. Tri-County High School is located at 147 Pond Street.

This popular and well-established juried craft fair features hand-crafted items from artists throughout New England. You’ll find a great selection of items for your home, for gift-giving, specialty foods, and more.

The entry fee is $3 for people 12 years of age and older. The funds raised allow us to give back generously to the local community. We were able to donate $6,000 from funds raised at last year's Craft Fair to 10 different organizations. In addition, we also accept donations for the Franklin Food Pantry at the entrance to the Craft Fair.

If any High School students in our surrounding area are in need of community service hours, reach out to us for information. We need volunteers to assist crafters before and after the craft fair with the set up and take down of their booths. Email us at franklincraftfair@gmail.com.

49th Annual Franklin Newcomers and Friends Craft Fair - Nov 9

We’re excited to announce that our 49th annual Craft Fair is set for Saturday, November 9 at Tri-County High School in Franklin.

Invitation to Crafters to Participate at the Franklin Newcomers and Friends Craft Fair

The Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club is accepting applications for booth space at their 49th Annual Craft Fair, Saturday, November 9, 2024, 9 AM to 3 PM at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School in Franklin

This is a juried craft fair for artisan crafters to sell their hand made items; we do not accept MLM companies or other resellers. The deadline for applications is July 15th.

Coming up this Saturday, November 18th, Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club’s 48th annual Craft Fair at Tri-County High School in Franklin. Entry is $3 for people 12 years of age and older. 

We are returning to our original location in the building at 147 Pond Street in Franklin. You’ll find a great selection of items for yourself, your home or for gift-giving. 

This popular event is an opportunity for members to volunteer and work together, help raise funds, and give back to the community.

The club accepts donations for the Franklin Food Pantry when you enter. The entree fee of $3 is for people 12 years of age and older. The funds raised and pantry donations allow us to give back generously to the local community.

Look for us on social media for more information about the Craft Fair and our Club. We are a multi-generational, member-driven organization and are always excited to welcome new faces and new ideas. 

Residents of Franklin, or any surrounding town that doesn't have a Newcomers Club, are welcome to join us. We meet bi-monthly at Escape into Fiction bookstore, 12 Main Street in downtown Franklin.

Our December 13 meeting will include our Holiday Yankee Swap, one of our fun, annual events. In addition to our meetings, we hold varied events to stay connected throughout the year.

It will still be held at Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School, 147 Pond St., Franklin, after taking a break following two years of COVID.

This year, the craft fair will be held at the school’s gymnasium. Plenty of space for mingling, browsing, and shopping. Enter at the left of the building instead of the front doors. Lots of parking right in front of the entrance.

Franklin gearing up for the Franklin Cultural Festival - Sep 12, 2021

The Franklin Cultural Council is gearing up for the Franklin Cultural Festival, a large community gathering, held on Sunday, September 12 from 12 PM - 6 PM on the Franklin Town Common. The theme of the Franklin Cultural Festival this year is “Community Unity”. 

The festival is intended to bring community together to celebrate Franklin and celebrate arts and culture. Eight sweet and savory food trucks will allow sampling of various cuisines from seafood to Italian to frozen treats. Both La Cantina and 67 Brewery will be on hand to serve craft beer and wine. 

A series of live dance and music performers, including the headliner and nationally known Salsa Band “Eguie Castrillo & Mar del Norte Salsa Orchestra“. Salsa lessons will be given on the commons during this performance.

There will be an Indian Sari Showcase on the mainstage as well as performances given by local talent.  Over 30 artisans will show their handmade wares in the juried Craft Fair that will be spread across the town common.

Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club annual Craft Fair - Nov 9

SAVE THE DATE!  - Nov 9

The Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club annual Craft Fair is coming up. This non-profit fair will be held on Saturday, November 9th at Tri-Country High School in Franklin. 

Hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There is a $3 entry fee - children 12 and under are free. 

In addition to almost 70 artisans, there will be a bake sale table and raffle table. We are collecting non-perishable items for the Franklin Food Pantry - thank you in advance for any donations! All proceeds are donated to local charities and non-profit organizations.

Annual Craft Fair - Nov 9

Save the Date!!! The Franklin Newcomers and Friends Club is hosting their annual Craft Fair on Saturday, November 9, 2019. 

This long-running Franklin tradition will be held at Tri-County High School, 147 Pond Street, Franklin from 9 AM to 3 PM. We are excited to host over 70 artisans at this juried craft fair. All proceeds are donated to local charitable organizations. 

In addition, there will be a bake sale table and we welcome donations of non-perishable goods that will be brought to the Franklin Food Pantry. 

Vendor applications are still being accepted; they are available on our website at franklinnewcomers.com. We only accept applications for homemade items not commercially manufactured items.

Fine Crafters Wanted!

The Franklin Cultural Council is hosting a Juried Craft Fair as one element of Taste of ArtWeek, an event that also includes food trucks, a beer garden, and live performances on April 27. 

The Craft Fair will be made up of adult work by professional and semi-professional artisans, as well as a youth section of booths for crafters 18 and under. 

Taste of ArtWeek is a kick-off celebration to Franklin ArtWeek, part of the statewide ArtWeek festival, and is hosted by the Franklin Cultural Council in partnership with the Random Smile Project.
