Anthony Delasanta sprinting faster for URI

Franklin's Anthony Delasanta, runs track for the University of Rhode Island. Anthony won the A10 Conference 400 meter sprint championship at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia on February 24 in a time of 48.49 seconds. 

Anthony also placed sixth in the 200 with a time of 22.25 and ran a leg of the fourth place 4X400 meter relay. This past winter season, Anthony also won the 400 meter sprint at the following meets: Beantown Challenge, Howling Husky Invitational, and URI Sorlein Invitational.

In addition, Anthony placed third in the 400 meter sprint in a time of 47.13 at the ICAAAA Championship, the second largest track meet in the United States, second in the New England Championship (NEICAAA) and fifth at the Dr. Sander Columbia Invitational at the Armory in New York City. He is currently ranked 79 in the United States in the 400 meters

JOIN US AT ITALIAN AMERICAN VETERANS CLUB IN MILFORD

Join us for a care package packing event. We have ten units with over 325 individuals (soldiers, airmen, seamen) actively deployed.

Anyone interested in helping out is welcome – we will also accept donations of the following items:

Protein bars and powder
Snacks that won’t crush when we pack them up
Morale boosters/games
New socks

Non-aerosol personal hygiene items for men and women (e.g. shaving products, insect repellent, sun-tan lotion, chap stick, soap, deodorant, foot care products, toothcare products, shampoo/conditioner).

THE BLACK BOX presents "Broadway in Franklin" - Mar 24

The magic of 42nd Street comes to Boston's MetroWest suburbs as stars and students share the stage! Broadway’s Kyle Taylor Parker and Amanda Jane Cooper treat audiences at THE BLACK BOX to a dazzling revue of show-stopping numbers from the Great White Way!

Kyle Taylor Parker is currently Geno in My Very Own British Invasion at the Papermill Playhouse. Broadway credits include Kinky Boots (Lola, OBC Angel) and Broadway’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. 

Amanda Jane Cooper, one of Wicked’s longest running Glinda’s on Broadway, was most recently seen as Glinda in Wicked for the show’s 15th Anniversary on Broadway. She has also been seen on Glee on FOX, CSI on CBS, and Disney’s Jessie. 

Broadway In Franklin also showcases musical theater students from the Franklin School for the Performing Arts.
