It was wonderful to see many of you yesterday at Franklin's 2nd annual Pride Event on the commons. I was lucky enough to run the booth for the Senior Center and met so many incredible and accepting folks.
Just a reminder that Tuesday June 27 at 2:30 is our monthly Rainbow Café meeting.

Rainbow Café scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 2:30 PM
Hello All,
We hope that you will join us tomorrow for our Rainbow Café. We will be meeting at 2:30 at the Franklin Senior Center.
We have the opportunity to watch the Cambridge Documentary "Pink Triangles" if the group is interested. Running time is 33 minutes.
Below is the description:
A study of prejudice against lesbians and gay men, "Pink Triangles" was one of the very first films to confront the growth of homophobia in American life and served to alert audiences to the danger of scapegoating and violence that can occur in any society. Best Documentary, San Francisco Int'l Lesbian & Gay Film Festival *Screened at the London Film Festival * (among others)

Hello All,
In addition to our monthly Rainbow Café, which is Tuesday January. 31 at 2:30 PM we have a few exciting events happening next week.
On Monday Julie Nowak, LGBTQIA+ Initiative Coordinator at BayPath and Springwell, will be hosting a virtual coffee hour here at the Franklin Senior Center at 11 AM. This is for anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community. You are welcome to join us in person for this event if it fits your schedule.
At 1:15 PM on Monday we are showing Kinky Boots as our Monday matinee!
Break out your favorite dancing boots and join us for this heartwarming and hilarious Tony-winning musical written by Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein!
Kinky Boots is based on the true story of a young man who inherits his family's struggling shoemaking business. As he searches for some way to save the factory and his friends' jobs, he finds unexpected inspiration when he meets Lola, a fabulous and wise drag artist.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I hope to see you all tomorrow at our Rainbow Café at 2:30 at the Franklin Senior Center. One of the items I would like to discuss is our upcoming Winter Wonderland Event. I am hoping our Rainbow Café will be willing to decorate a fabulous tree for the event.

Hello All,
Tuesday at 2:30 is our monthly Rainbow Café gathering and we hope you will join us at the Franklin Senior Center in friendship and conversation.
Our Rainbow Café is multigenerational and open to all in the LGBTQIA+ community.
Tomorrow we welcome members of "True Colors" from Dean College and the Franklin High School FGSA.
