"Medway resident Grant Darst has detailed more than 1,000 cars since he was 16 years old. Now 24, Darst, whose clientele includes New England Patriots football players, has recently opened his first detailing studio in Franklin.

Showroom One opened on Jan. 14 at 837 Upper Union St., Unit 5, offering detailing, paint correction and ceramic coating. He shares the space with North Smithfield, Rhode Island, resident Brad Walling, who owns In-Side Out Detailing. After teaming up for a few gigs, they opened a shop together; Darst had being working out of a white van, adorned with the business’ logo, for the past six years.

The 2013 Medway High School graduate said he detailed more than 500 cars last year and about 75% of his clients return within a year."

Parmenter 5th Grader - Car Wash and Clothing Drive

The Parmenter 5th graders are holding a car wash in the Parmenter loop line as well as a clothing drive. In order to help raise funds to pay for their 5th grade celebration events as well as a parting gift to the school, every year the 5th graders hold a car wash. 

This year they are also collecting clothing and household items and SAVERS will make a donation to Parmenter based on the amount collected.

Event Details are as follows:

WHAT: 
Parmenter 5th Grade Car Wash and Clothing Drive

WHEN: 
Saturday, May 21st 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Rain Date (for car wash) - Sunday, May 22nd 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

WHERE: 
Parmenter Elementary School loop line
235 Wachusett Street

COST: $10 per vehicle for car wash

WHAT ELSE: 
Perfect time for spring cleaning. Clean out those closets and donate any clothing, shoes, bedding, toys, books, small kitchen and household items and drop off at Parmenter before getting your car washed.

A donation will be made based on total weight collected.

All proceeds benefit Parmenter 5th Grade celebration activities.

Franklin Music Boosters plan car wash, July 27

The Franklin Music Boosters are hosting a fundraiser car wash on Saturday, July 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pizzeria Uno's in Bellingham.

Music Boosters: Car wash at Uno's July 27

The Franklin High School Music Boosters is hosting a car wash on Saturday, July 27th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Uno's in Bellingham. The group is raising money to help send the high school's music groups to perform at Disney world during the school's April vacation. The bands and vocal groups will be performing in Florida. 

The Music Boosters will have a series of fundraisers throughout the year, including a collection at Stop and Shop in Franklin on August 10 and 11.

Parmenter Elementary School is having a car wash and bottle and can drive on Saturday May 18, 2013 from 9 am - 1 pm. 

Please bring us your bottles and cans and have your car washed. This is to benefit our 5th grade class the class of 2020!

Saturday was a grand day for a car wash. The students at Parmenter Elementary School spent some time washing cars in a fund raising effort.



There were a couple of cars in front of me and some lined up behind as I got my car washed.



Nothing wrong with getting a little wet or soapy on a day like Saturday!
