State tax sale weekend, yup, this one, this year, is SATURDAY & SUNDAY (810-8/11)

"The state’s annual sales tax holiday arrives this weekend, bringing some relief to shoppers and the chance to save on some big-ticket items.

On Saturday and Sunday, retail items under $2,500 will be exempt from the 6.25 percent Massachusetts sales tax.

Only items bought for personal use are eligible. Purchases by corporations or businesses, or by individuals purchasing an item for business use, will still be taxed.

Town offices & Senior Center Closed July 4 and July 5

Happy 4th of July weekend!

Non-emergency town offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday July 5, 2024 in honor of Independence Day.

The Senior Center will be closed on both Thursday July 4 and Friday July 5. 

Town Hall will reopen on Monday July 8, 2024 at 8:00 AM. The Senior Center will reopen at 8:30 AM.

Starting Thanksgiving Thursday (11/23/23): Commuter Rail runs "weekend schedule"

The Commuter Rail will operate on a weekend schedule on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd as well as on Friday, November 24th.

All Commuter Rail lines will operate on a weekend schedule on Labor Day, Monday September 4.
