Officer Dave Gove and Officer Amanda Ayer recognized for response for an infant not breathing

Gianna and her parents Kelcey and Nick stopped by the station to thank Officers Gove and Ayer
Gianna and her parents Kelcey and Nick stopped by the station to thank Officers Gove and Ayer
"We’re very happy to share this post with permission of Gianna’s family. Last month, Officer Dave Gove and Officer Amanda Ayer responded to a residence in Franklin for an infant not breathing. Officer Gove and Ayer arrived first and Officer Gove began performing on CPR on baby Gianna. Care was quickly transferred to the Franklin Fire Department. Gianna was in for a fight but she prevailed!

Today Gianna and her parents Kelcey and Nick stopped by the station to thank Officers Gove and Ayer for their response that difficult morning and we are so grateful they did!
Officer Gove and Officer Ayer have been School Resource Officers in our schools. Due to staffing restrictions they were reassigned to our patrol division this past July and they both work day shift together.

Incidents like this highlight the superior training and preparedness our officers have to respond to these critical incidents. GREAT JOB Officer Gove and Officer Ayer!"

Franklin TV: Motherhood - Time for new family

by Pete Fasciano, Executive Director 09/07/2025

Our American linguagem is decorated with idiomatic expressions; quips, bromides, and turns of phrase. “ Let’s Belly up to the bar, boys.” “ I’m up in the air on this issue.”

Among these, there were ‘gloriously unassailable triplets’. Word groupings that conveyed our most essential, universally valued ideals. The ‘triplet’ was a common associative device of advertising.

The stentorian announcer always noted that Superman was fighting to defend, “ Truth, Justice, and the American Way.” (umm- Can someone get Soop on the phone?) Then there was, “ American as Baseball, Apple Pie and Chevrolet.”

Another biggie many of us have heard, “Justice, Motherhood and Highway Safety”.

These days? Justice has been taking on some collateral damage. Highway safety? In Massachusetts? Have you seen how some idiots drive? Cheez Looeez!

But then, there’s ‘Motherhood’. If there’s a gloriously unassailable ideal, this is it. Where would this world be without moms? Motherhood is such a primal instinct that high-tech developers seek to insert a core ‘mothering’ directive into their AI systems as the ultimate reality check and psychological safety mechanism.
A mother’s protection.

Glorious Motherhood is coming to Franklin TV. Our staff member Meredith is due in September, and our baby shower ‘send-off’ was a great opportunity to celebrate. We wish Meredith all the good and wonderful things of momhood.

FYI: Her name means, ‘protector of the seas’. A mother’s protection.

And, no – she’s not having triplets.

And – as always –
Thank you for watching.

Jack Lank talks about making connections, small business issues, and the split vs. single tax rate (audio)

FM #1508 = This is the Franklin Matters radio show, number 1508 in the series.

This session shares my conversation with Jack Lank, Executive Director for the United Regional Chamber of Commerce. We had our conversation in the Franklin TV & Radio studio on Tuesday, September 2, 2025

Our conversation covers Jack’s role in fostering connections amongst business and government to meet the needs of the 16 communities the organization covers. We touch on the split tax vs single rate property tax, the tariffs situation and business disruption it brings given all the legal uncertainty around them.

The recording runs about 46 minutes, so let’s listen in. Audio link -> https://franklin-ma-matters.captivate.fm/episode/fm-1508-jack-lank-chamber-small-business-connections-09-02-25/

When cereal is needed, the community stepped up: Including one donation of 89 boxes of cereal

via Franklin Food Pantry:
one donation of 89 boxes of cereal
one donation of 89 boxes of cereal

"Our community is amazing!

When we asked for cereal, you all stepped up in a big way. One donation, in particular, was so touching we had to share it. A family sent us 89 boxes of cereal—one for each year of their grandfather/great-grandfather’s life—as a way to honor his memory.

We were truly moved by this incredible act of kindness and are honored to be a part of their tribute. Thanks to this generous donation, we're able to help so many of our neighbors.

Thank you to all who donated!"
