Our next 350 Mass Greater Franklin Node meeting will be this Thursday, September 15, 7:00-9:00 PM.  We will do something different this week: phone banking individually from 7-8, and then meeting on Zoom for the normal Node business, from 8-9.

Please read this message for information.

For the first hour of our Node meeting (7:00-8:00, this Thursday), we will join fellow activists from 350 Mass and allied organizations in phone banking to support the Fair Share Amendment.  We will inform voters how, if passed in November, anyone earning over $1 million a year (not in investments) would pay an additional 4% state tax to support education and transportation. 350 Mass has endorsed this campaign. The wealthiest are opposed (Globe article).  We'll be trained in using Hubdialer and then make calls till 8 pm.  At that time we'll end our individual phone banking effort, and start the abbreviated Node meeting (8:00-9:00) via the Zoom link.

We'll send further details about the Hubdialer training before Thursday evening. For now, though, please register here and select the date/time "Thu, Sep 15, 5:00pm–8:00pm EDT" (even though we will make calls only from 7:00pm-8:00pm).  If you cannot attend on Thursday but would like to volunteer for another time, please do. Phone banking will take place through the end of October.  We need to reach as many Massachusetts voters as possible before the November election! Join us in reaching out to voters!

Remember that you can stay involved and receive updates from 350 Mass via the Climate Weekly email. Sign up here.
Learn more on the 350 Mass website.

We hope you can join us Thursday at 7:00 pm for the phone banking, and then join the meeting at 8. We'll send a reminder on Thursday. We continue to meet on Zoom, the first and third Thursdays of every month.

Thank you for your commitment to the struggle for a transition to a just, equitable, and clean energy economy.
