In Person Pet First Aid & CPR class - Nov 27 & Nov 28

Join us for a 100% In Person Pet First Aid & CPR class on Saturday, November 27, 2021 and Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Destination Dog from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM both days.

Cost = $80

During the course you will learn the following:
  • What is Pet First Aid?
  • Pet Parenting 101 - Your Pet's Baselines
  • Good Tips for Problem Prevention
  • Vitals and Head to Tail Checks
  • Proper Handling, Restraint and Transport of an injured animal
  • Creating a Disaster Preparedness Plan
  • Choking Management
  • CPR vs. CPCR
  • Which style of CPR is appropriate for your pets
  • First Aid: Illnesses & Injuries including:
  • Heat Stroke and Frostbite
  • Dehydration
  • Severe Bleeding
  • Bandaging various body parts
  • Mouth & Lip Injuries/Illnesses
  • Injected & Ingested Poisoning
  • Drowning
  • Snake Bites
  • Intestinal Distress
  • Allergic Reactions and Bites/Stings
  • Shock & Seizures
  • Bloat
Class materials and a practice pack, including $20 in take home materials will be given to you during the in person class.
At the conclusion of class you will receive a Certification of Completion wall certificate and wallet card good for 2 years. We look forward to teaching you these very valuable skills and helping you truly be your pet's best friend.

Destination Imagination: Information Session - Sep 30


What is Destination Imagination?

Destination Imagination is an educational non-profit that prepares children for a future that is rapidly evolving. DI does this through a project-based learning experience that applies the Creative Process across 7 different Challenge types – Technical, Scientific, Engineering, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Service Learning, and Early Learning – allowing second grade through high school level students to acquire and practice the skills needed to thrive in school, future careers, and beyond.

DI participants learn:
  • Self-confidence and Perseverance
  • Team Building
  • Creative and Critical Thinking
  • Problem Solving
  • Risk Taking
  • Project Management

Franklin Destination Imagination Group This Saturday

Hi all-

This is an exciting honor for the team from Horace Mann Middle school, they placed 2nd in the Destination Imagination State tournament and qualified to go to the Finals in Tennessee!!  Please consider participating in the Panera fundraiser tomorrow from 11 to 8 to help them earn the money to be able to travel  to the Global Tournament.  Attached flyer must be presented.

The team will also have a bake table set up at the Horace Mann Community Yard sale from 8-1.

As many of you may have seen in the paper the Horace Mann Middle School Destination Imagination Team  made it to the Global Finals in Tennessee!  They have less than 20 days left to raise the $8500 needed to represent our town and our state!  

 Please help us spread the word about their bake sale this Saturday at Horace Mann from 8-1 and please print and use the flyer below for Panera from 11 - 8 pm tomorrow!!!!!!!!!
