- July 16 - Comedy Show - Steve Sweeney, the King of Boston Comedy, will be sure to get you laughing! Join for an afternoon of a coffee bar, desserts, and comedy.

- July 19 - Monthly Party: Luau with Steel Drum Performance
- July 22 - Mini Golf Event: 9-hole Mini Golf Course at the Senior Center! ALL are welcome, bring your friends, kids, & grandchildren. Event will conclude with an ice cream treat!

The Library's hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Library will be closed Thursday July 4th for Independence Day.

Volunteer tutors needed! To volunteer please be at least 18 years old, have a High School diploma, & speak English clearly. No prior teaching experience needed! Enjoy an interactive screening of the beloved classic movie, Jaws! Popcorn and props are provided!
Crochet FUNdamentals, Friday July 19th @1:00 PM
Come
explore the fundamentals of crochet as we work together on a simple
project to foster the learning process. In our two hour class we will
explore the following; pairing of yarn and hook, gauge, the chain
stitch, single crochet, and double crochet, and treble crochet. All
class materials will be provided. This program is supported in part by a
grant from the Franklin Cultural Council, a local agency, which is
supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

The Friends held their 2024 Annual Meeting last month and elected several new Board Members. Congratulations to Dave Djerf who was elected as President, and to Alan Earls and Liz Pungitore who were elected as Directors. We welcome Dave, Alan, and Liz to the Friends' Board!
Thank you to Lisa Rein our outgoing President! Lisa has been on the Friends' Board since 2017, most recently serving as our President from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024. We are very appreciative of Lisa's many contributions through the years and of her excellent leadership as our President for the past several years. While we will miss seeing Lisa at our monthly board meetings, we look forward to having Lisa as a library Friend for many years to come.
Friends of the Franklin Library is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and promoting the Franklin Public Library. We meet monthly from September to May and are always looking for new Friends to join us. Save the Date: Our next meeting is scheduled for 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 4th. In the meantime, we wish everyone a wonderful summer filled with reading great books and attending fun library programs & activities!

Code Club! Wednesdays @ 4:00PM (3rd-8th Grade)
This is an after school hour of code focusing on exploration of computer programming through play. This is not a classroom. This is a playground where Coders have access to: optional tutorials & walkthroughs, monthly challenges, and mentoring in their coding journey. All levels of skill are welcome and personal projects are encouraged! This can be a great way to dip your toes in the pool and see what learning to code can do for you! Sign up on the Library website to let us know you are coming and if you need any technology from the library!
Teen Book Bites! Wednesdays @ 5:30PM (Ages 12+)
Teens! Bring along a snack and join us in the teen room each Wednesday for a casual chat about what we're all reading! No registration required!
Teen Advisory Board! 2nd Wednesday of the Month @ 6:30PM (Ages 12+)
Join us each month for Teen Advisory Board! The Teen Advisory Board is a GREAT opportunity to get involved here at the library!
