Hello!  

We've decided to change things up a bit for March, and hold this month's meeting in Bellingham. Next week, we will have our monthly meeting at the Bellingham Library, 100 Blackstone Street, Bellingham at 6:30 pm.  We'd love to see you there!

My Ombudsman Hosts In-Person Office Hours at Chris’ Corner – Recovery Resource Center in Milford on Mar 11 & Mar 20, 2025

My Ombudsman is pleased to announce upcoming in-person office hours at Chris’ Corner – Recovery Resource Center in Milford, MA. These office hours will take place on March 11, 2025 and March 20, 2025, from 10 AM to 2 PM. 

Community members will have the opportunity to receive direct assistance with their healthcare benefits, ask questions, and address any concerns related to their MassHealth plan.

At My Ombudsman, we work with individuals to help them access the benefits and services covered by their MassHealth plan. Our team listens to your concerns, gathers necessary information, and works with healthcare providers and MassHealth to resolve issues. We support anyone enrolled in MassHealth, offering assistance in over 165 languages upon request, including American Sign Language.

The Town of Franklin, Massachusetts requests bids for construction of the Fisher Street Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Upgrades project.  General Contractors and filed Sub-Contractors must be pre-qualified to bid on the project.   Pre-qualifying was completed prior to public advertisement of this project and was conducted in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 193, Section 19 of the Acts of 2004.

Town Administrator Ad-hoc Review Meeting 2/27/26 (audio)

FM #1392 = This is the Franklin Matters radio show, number 1392 in the series. 


This session of the radio show shares the audio recording of the Ad Hoc committee for the Town Administrators Review. The meeting was held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 in the Council Chambers. 


Subcommittee Chair Ted Cormier-Leger opens the meeting. Councilors Melanie Hamblen and Glenn Jones participate. Town Administrator Jamie Hellen and many Town department heads are also present and contribute to this session.


Quick recap:

  • Exemplary performance review; Area for improvement to be mindful of verbiage, tone, in public meetings, emails, etc. Be better able to step back and help us all be better

  • In lieu of reading the draft review doc, they walked through some of the sections to pick out key points and allowed Jamie to elaborate on the development of the individual items touting what he (and the town staff) did to complete the item

  • Many of the department managers were present and added comments for their review of Jamie
