Thurs, Feb 10th, 11 am – 12 pm: Resilience Through Difficult Times Savvy Seeker Series with Karen Sowsy! Karen Sowsy is the Project Manager of the 50+ Jobseekers in MA Statewide Networking Groups. She has extensive experience working with 50+ job seekers through her work with MassHire and Operation ABLE. Are you finding it hard to bounce back from life stressors? Resilience is the ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from difficult life events. Being resilient does not mean that people don't experience stress, emotional upheaval, and suffering. The Town of Franklin is working with @MAPCMetroBoston on Franklin For All, a study which utilizes a community driven process to establish a vision for Franklin Center and make recommendations for rezoning the area. 

In order to best achieve our communal vision, we need your voice! Join us for our first public forum on Monday, March 7 at 7 PM. 

It will be a hybrid meeting that takes place in the Council Chambers at Franklin Town Hall, (355 E. Central Street) and over Zoom.

FHS gymnastics team takes 1st place at Hockomock Championships on Sunday

FHS girls and boys basketball teams post wins vs. Attleboro on Sunday

Via HockomockSports.com and Twitter, we share the results of the FHS winter sports action on Sunday:

 
Boys Basketball = Franklin, 55 @ Attleboro, 49 – Final

Girls Basketball = Attleboro, 31 @ Franklin, 62 – Final 

–  Franklin dominated the first and third quarters and rolled to a big win over the second place team in the Kelley-Rex. The Panthers opened the game on fire, taking the first quarter 24-7. Attleboro played nearly even in the second (10-8), but the Franklin stormed out of halftime with an 18-4 third to put the game out of reach. Franklin’s full-court press and interior defense proved too much, as the Panthers have allowed only three teams in 11 games to score more than 33 points in a game. Katie Peterson led all scorers with 15 points, and added two blocks and three steals. Stefany Padula chipped in with 10 points, eight of them in the first quarter. Brigid Earley scored seven and had three blocks and Olivia Quinn scored six points. Attleboro was led by Meghan Gordon, who scored eight points despite being under the weather. Rylie Camacho added five and Sarah Maher and Lily Routhier each scored four for the Bombardiers.
