Franklin Art Association meeting features Demo Artist painter Katie Kindilien - Jan 4, 2023

The Franklin Art Association's first meeting of 2023 will take place on Wednesday, January 4 at 6:30 PM at the Franklin (MA) Senior Center, when our Demo Artist will be painter Katie Kindilien.

Katie grew up in Norwalk, CT and currently lives in New Haven. She received her undergraduate degree in painting from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. A year spent studying in Rome became a lifelong inspiration to paint and travel and study art from around the world. She received her Masters in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State University and taught elementary and middle school art in New Haven for 25 years. Along the way Katie has continued painting, traveling, and studying with wonderful artists and teachers such as Julian Merrow-Smith, Stephanie Birdsall and Paul Foxton.

Katie was an Artist in Residence at the Art Association of Nantucket. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and art associations throughout New England, including Manhattanville College and the Essex Art Association.

More examples of her work can be found at www.katiekindilienfineart.com.

As always, our meetings are free and open to the public.
