It began shortly after Thanksgiving. My lovely wife has been ‘ramping up’ all the preparations for our big Christmas Day family gathering. It’s exhausting work – a heroic effort. God bless her. A true labor of love.
These past three years of covid and cancellations – three years – have left holes and heartaches in far too many families. More than a million souls departed. Our old normal, gone. Big gatherings, gone.
We are fortunate. We did all the right things; social distancing, vaccinations, masking. We are all still happily here. A good reason to celebrate – like it’s 2019.
Then – the next day…
we can ‘decompress’, while we remember the joys and wonders of Christmas 2023. May you, your family and friends have the merriest ever.
And may 2023 smile warmly and kindly upon us all.
Thanks for listening to 102.9 wfpr●fm.
And – as always – thanks for watching.
