Franklin, 1 @ Canton, 3 – Final
– The battle between two of the top programs in the Hockomock League delivered as Canton rallied its way to a 3-1 (26-24, 19-25, 26-24, 25-22) win over Franklin. The visiting Panthers had a 24-20 lead in the opening set before the Bulldogs rattled off six straight to take the early lead, and incredibly enough, Canton did the same thing in the third to take the crucial third set for a 2-1 lead. Sally Hoban had a great night at the net with 17 kills and seven digs for the Bulldogs while Charlotte Clyve (10 kills, six digs, two aces) and Ife Ajanaku (five kills, two blocks) provided some key offensive plays. Chloe Dubuisson was big at the net with six blocks and three kills, Caitlyn Reynolds gave the Dogs a boost off the bench at the service line, and Soley Rodriguez Martinez anchored the defense with 18 digs. Junior Erin Bigham ran the show once again, doing a little bit of everything with 38 assists, seven aces, six kills, five digs, and three blocks. Franklin senior Brooke Daniels dished out 31 assists with junior Makayla Kuykendall (15 kills, 13 digs), freshman Emerson Delleo (nine kills, 16 digs), and sophomore Gianna Laurello (eight kills) leading the charge offensively for the Panthers.

Field Hockey = Franklin, 4 @ Canton, 2 – Final
"Friday’s Hockomock crossover clash had the potential of an instant classic when unbeaten Canton hosted unbeaten Franklin.

The Bulldogs and the Panthers delivered.

While Canton became the first team to score against Franklin this season, it was the Panthers that used back-to-back goals in quick succession twice to secure a 4-2 win in what was one of the best field hockey games the league has seen in the last decade.

“I thought it was a great game, both sides,” said Canton head coach Chrissy O’Connor, who is in her ninth year of her second stint at the helm, and 17th season overall."
