Baseball = King Philip, 4 @ Franklin, 3 – Final (8 inn.)
- King Philip let a three-run lead slip in the bottom of the seventh but came back and regained it in the top of the eighth to score an important division win on the road at Franklin. KP scored once in the first, second, and sixth innings and was just three outs away from the win in the final inning. Franklin rallied with a single from Jack Sullivan, a walk from Sean Kryzak, and a single from Zach Winer to load the bases with no outs. After a pop up in the infield for the first out, Ryan Connelly brought the first run in on a fielder’s choice. With two outs, freshman Patrick Luizzi delivered a single up the middle to plate two runs to tie the game. Johnny Prater drew a leadoff walk but the Panthers got two outs. After Prater stole second, Ryan Burns — who scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch on Monday — delivered a clutch two-out single down the line to right to bring in the go-ahead run. Franklin got the tying run on with a two-out walk to Sullivan but Ryan Higgins closed the door with a grounder to third. Senior Drew Herlin drove in a pair of runs for the Warriors and junior Kevin Heine went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Cam Hasenfus took a shutout into the sixth for the Warriors, finishing with three runs against on three hits and a walk, striking out five in 6.2 innings. Winer gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts in 5.1 innings for the Panthers. Owen Lewis tossed a scoreless inning in relief for Franklin.
