Boston Globe Schools: "Franklin Post 75′s American Legion state champions"

"Alfred Mucciarone was not pleased with how the spring high school baseball season ended.

After Franklin lost in the state championship for the second year in a row, Mucciarone was left to decide how he would spend his final summer before playing in college at UMass-Lowell.

Why not play for his town one more time?

Mucciarone is one of a number of local seniors on the Franklin Post 75 Legion baseball team, which won its second straight state title Friday by defeating Shrewsbury Post 397, 6-5, at Mahan Field."

CommonWealth Magazine: "Vocational school admissions debate at center of New Bedford stand-off"

"CRITICS OF VOCATIONAL school admissions in the state are now literally making a federal case of the issue with yesterday’s filing of a civil rights complaint with the US Department of Education alleging discriminatory practices in the admissions policies at Massachusetts vocational high schools.

It’s another step in a long-running debate that started at the local level, and nowhere has that debate been more contentious than in New Bedford, the place where the push to reform state admission policies first began more than five years ago – and where it continues to inflame passions.

State regulations allow vocational schools to rank applicants based on middle school grades, attendance, and other factors. Admission to the schools has become increasingly competitive, with more than 18,000 applicants vying for 10,616 seats in the 2020-21 school year. "

Ribbon Cutting for New United Regional Chamber of Commerce Member Attleboro Dental Group

Friday, Sep 29, 2022, we cut the ribbon at new United Regional Chamber of Commerce member Attleboro Dental Group, 1174 South Washington Street, Suite 400, North Attleboro (across from the Emerald Square Mall in the 7 Mile Shops).

Dr. William Herr and Dr. Andrew Luccio welcomed the group and State Representative Adam Scanlon presented a citation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives from himself and Senator Paul Feeney. Feeney’s Chief of Staff Keith Drucker represented the senator at the event.

Attleboro Dental Group is open for all dental care procedures and emergency needs. Protecting the health and safety of their patients, families, and team members is their number one priority. Their office in the 7 Mile Shops is this practice's second location, the first being Capron Park Dental, which is across the street from the park. Patients are able to go to either location which opens up more available hours for treatment.

At Attleboro Dental Group, their goal is to provide superior dental care for patients in Attleboro as well as the surrounding towns of Mansfield, Plainville, North Attleboro, Norton, Valley Falls, and Central Falls. Their team has decades of experience in dentistry. Combining that expertise with their state-of-the-art dental offices results in dental care unlike any other.
