A Statement on the Hamas Attack on Israel // We Stand with Those Who Grieve |
The Franklin Interfaith Council (FIC) is an organization whose membership is composed of faith communities in the Town of Franklin, Massachusetts. The FIC addresses the various needs of its community by recognizing the power of faith as defined by each faith tradition it represents. The intent of the FIC is to sensitize the Franklin community to issues of deprivation and social justice, to promote tolerance and understanding through shared worship, programs, performances, and publications, and to bring the understanding of our faith traditions to bear on these issues.
The Franklin Interfaith Council members include First Universalist Society in Franklin, Franklin Federated Church, Franklin United Methodist Church, Temple Etz Chaim , The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, St. John’s Episcopal Church, The Parish of Saint Mary (Catholic Church).
Franklin Cultural District Committee Accepting Grant Proposals through Dec 12, 2023
Dear Franklin Cultural District Partners,
The Franklin Cultural District Committee (FCDC) has received a Cultural District Investment grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council for fiscal year 2024.
The FCDC is reaching out to FCD Partners for grant proposals for cultural initiatives planned in the district. Attached, please find a Franklin Cultural District Funding Request form. If you have a project/initiative that will benefit and promote culture in our community and want to request some funding, please complete the form attached, and return it to Bryan Taberner, Director of Planning and Community Development, by December 12, 2023. Mr. Taberner's email address is: btaberner@franklinma.gov
The FCDC will discuss the proposals at its meeting on Thursday, December 14 at 7:00 PM scheduled to be held in-person at Franklin TV, 23 Hutchinson Street, Franklin. All funds awarded need to be spent by June 30, 2024.
