Town of Franklin: Winter Storm Parking Ban — Sunday, 01/25/2026 12:00 PM to Monday, 01/26/2026 12:00 PM

A winter storm parking ban is in effect from 12:00 noon on Sunday, 01/25/2026 until 12:00 noon on Monday, 01/26/2026.

During this period, parking of any motor vehicle is prohibited:
- within the right-of-way of any public street or roadway open to the public, and
- on any municipality owned property.

Purpose:
- Ensure safe movement of police, fire, and emergency medical vehicles;
- Facilitate efficient snow and ice removal by the Public Works Department;
- Protect public safety during winter weather conditions.

Penalty:
- Violators will be fined $25 for each offense.
Please move vehicles before 12:00 PM on 01/25/2026 to avoid fines and to help emergency services and snow-removal operations.

This thirty-minute program features music, movement, stories, and other interactive activities to encourage social skills and promote early literacy! No registration required.

Doggie Tales! Mondays @ 4pm
Registration Required
Kiddos who are working on their reading skills will be able to sign up for a time slot to practice reading to a trained therapy dog. Bring your favorite book or read one of ours. Registration is required, and once attendees arrive they will get their time slot on a first come, first served basis. (We'll also have a greeter dog to keep you company while you wait!)

Michael, originally from Plainview, NY, moved to the Boston Metro area after graduating from Northeastern University in 1984. For over 15 years, he’s been performing Folk Rock and Classic Rock hits from the ’60s to the ’90s, including songs by Bob Dylan, John Prine, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, and more.

Tri-County Children’s Center: Registration & Open House for 2026–2027

We’re excited to announce that registration and Open House for the Tri-County Children’s Center preschool program for the 2026–2027 school year will begin on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Open House will be held on Monday, February 2 from 9:15-9:45 or from 10:15-10:45 a.m. at the Tri-County Regional High School in Franklin at 147 Pond Street.

We have an event coming up at 11am this morning. Citizens Bank has been supporting the development of ICE detention facilities and there will be a national reckoning throughout the country. Because there is a Citizen’s Bank in the plaza will be at the regular Franklin Village Plaza standout spot from 11am-12. It will be cold so dress appropriately.
