Hello Everyone

As of now, if you are signed up for the Corned Beef and Cabbage Party tomorrow, Wednesday March 15th, we are still planning on having this party. If you can no longer attend, please give us a call at 508-520-4945 so that we may ask someone else on the waiting list.

School budget: what will happen now that they know they won't get what they're asking for?

School Committee Meeting - CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER

being rescheduled to Tuesday, March 21 same time 7 PM

The School Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2023 has a few key items on the agenda, the most important being the school budget. The Committee will see and hear of the FY 24 Superintendent's Recommended budget. In a couple of meetings the Committee will be asked to vote on the budget.

During the Joint Budget Subcommittee meeting last week (recording and notes linked to below), it was revealed that the full amount being requested would not be met by the Town. The meeting ended before a strategy or next meeting was determined.

More folks interested in virtual session on Redistricting Analysis; get their questions answered on Monday, Mar 13

More folks participated in the Redistricting Analysis Forum, the second and last one held to share the three options, answer questions and ask for feedback via the survey form. While less than 20 participated in person at the first forum held a week ago, over 70 participated on Monday, March 13.

Unfortunately a few internet trolls attempt to disrupt the session and were being removed as quickly as they identified themselves. Fortunately, it did not interrupt the Q&A session and all who wanted had time to ask a question, or make a comment, some of them with more than one chance to do so.

The presentation document used will be posted to the Redistricting page (at some point). All the prior presentation documents are there ->   https://www.franklinps.net/district/redistricting-analysis

The survey is open until March 15, yes that is Wednesday, March 15

The Survey facilitates your feedback on the three options: buff.ly/421zoTp

The Story Map outlines the case for redistricting and the three options: buff.ly/3l2fRlm
The audio recording of the March 7 session is available -> https://www.franklinmatters.org/2023/03/less-than-20-participate-in.html
