Respectfully, the Library and Senior Center calendars are too full of events to include all their events so we tend to focus on the major events. Town and School meetings are also kept separate. Links for all the calendars are shared here:

Fallen Hero Recognition: W. Franklin Lynch, World War I - March 30, 3025 9 AM

Memorial event today (3/30/25) at 9 AM on the Town Common Veterans Walkway to honor W. Franklin Lynch, World War I.

This program will include the placing of a Memorial Wreath for the day, the playing of Taps, a salute from those present, and a reading of whatever history may be available for that veteran.  This is a way of keeping the memory of that veteran alive.

You can find all the videos for 2024 in one playlist ->

Attention Parents: Check out the Interent Safety event April 3; comes with free kid care & a meal (audio)

FM #1416 = This is the Franklin Matters radio show, number 1416 in the series.

This session shares my conversation with Donna Grady about the internet safety event coming up April 3. We recorded this talk in the Franklin TV Studios on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Most folks know of Donna as the Franklin Education Association (FEA) unit president and as a kindergarten at Keller, previously Jefferson, and teaching for over 35 years.

Donna has a new role as Chair of the MASS PTA Health & Wellness Committee. Wearing this hat, she heard of the grant opportunity to bring this program to Franklin and neighboring communities.

Parents with school age children are the target for this training/awareness. It is a free night with childcare and meals provided

The recording runs about 24 minutes. Audio link -> https://franklin-ma-matters.captivate.fm/episode/fm-1416-donna-grady-on-the-social-network-forum-apr-3-03-25-25/

Franklin TV: Spring Happens

It can sneak up on you, and that’s okay.

by Pete Fasciano, Executive Director 03/30/2025

Last Wednesday I went to town hall to test the connectivity between our two TV control systems for live meetings. We were expecting a significant overflow crowd in chambers. The 3rd floor training room cameras, projection and so on would enable the additional crowds to converse with the Town Council members. With everything in order, satisfied and preoccupied, I left for the studio.

As I left the building I saw –

Spring! The moment was a reminder that every now and then it’s good to pause – – – be immersed in the present – and take in that quietly fulgent joy of just being.

And – as always –

Thank you for watching.
Thank you for listening to wfpr●fm.
And staying informed at Franklin●news.

The METG State Finals Awards Ceremony was broadcast by METG Saturday evening and availabel for replay -> https://www.youtube.com/live/1t_QXd8zO6k?

The FHS Theatre Company came away with some awards but not the big prize. When you consider that under their cicumstances, getting to the finals was "the big prize", there is plenty to be proud of.
