– Franklin senior Justice Samuels grabbed a defensive rebound and went the length of the court for a layup with 15 seconds to go and the Panthers survived as Sharon’s potential game-winning three hit off the front end of the rim. Freshman Greg Katznelson scored down low to cut the deficit to two and junior Teigan Jones did the same with 20 seconds to go as the Eagles rallied to force the overtime period. Seniors Jack Sullivan, James Crowley, and Ben Scaccia all had a bucket in overtime and sophomore Danny Santos hit a huge three late — just the second triple of the game for the Panthers to make it 57-55. Jones answered down the other end in the paint to tie it up. Franklin flipped a two-point deficit at half (26-24) into a two-point lead going into the fourth, and despite only one field goal in the last eight minutes (9-for-12 from the free throw line) stayed in it. Samuels finished with a season-high 16 points to lead the Panthers while Scaccia had 14 and both Santos and Sullivan chipped in with 10 points. Katznelson scored a game-high 19 points and Jones finished with 12 points for the Eagles.

Girls Basketball =  Franklin, 63 @ Sharon, 38 – Final
– Franklin kept its streak going, winning its sixth straight game, and kept hold of its one-game lead in the Kelley-Rex division. The Panthers wasted no time taking control, scoring 20 points in the first quarter and building an 11-point lead. Tessah Rodrigues and Sophia Sacramone got off to good starts, combining for 13 in the first. Franklin kept it going in the second, as Brielle Nicholls scored five and Kaylee Fernandes added four and the Panthers added five more its halftime lead. The Panthers sealed the win with a 16-6 third quarter. Sharon would win the fourth by a point, thanks to eight points from Dharma Trivedi who out-dueled Fernandes (seven points) in the final eight minutes. Fernandes led Franklin with a game-high 15 points and Rodrigues added 14. Trivedi had four threes and scored a team-high 14. Freshman Lila McCarty added 13 points for the Eagles (going 9-of-12 from the line).
