Franklin's Event Outlook: October 27, 2023 to November 3, 2023

It is a sad day when the end of the Farmers Market season rolls in. It is such a festive gathering each Friday on the Town Common. We can look forward to the Winter Market at the Fairmount Fruit Farm.  In the meantime, we can also look to the full weekend of activities in this weekend before Halloween.

"Franklin area peeps!

I am looking for people to decorate trunks for our upcoming Trunk or Treat & Hallo-weiner Roast at Franklin United Methodist Church.

If you, your family, or an organization you are part of would like to participate, let me know. This is a fun event. Nothing scary.

Join us for a FREE Trunk or Treat and Hallo-weiner roast at Franklin United Methodist Church on October 28 from 5-7 PM. Come dressed in your Halloween costume, trick or treat around the parking lot, and enjoy a free hotdog. 

All are welcome. This event is completely free!

Community members and organizations are invited to decorate their car trunks (or truck beds, van hatches, bicycle wagons, etc.) and handout candy to trick or treaters. Individuals who wish to participate in this event are asked to
1) decorate a vehicle in a child-appropriate theme. Nothing bloody or overly scary as this event is for children of all ages.
2) handout candy or "treats" to all trick or treaters. People/groups must supply their own treats. Everything should be prepackaged in the wrapper.
3) Businesses and Organizations can feel free to handout or have available information about their group or business. No political advertising allowed.
4) People/groups may want to provide a simple game for trick or treaters; however, everyone needs to get something.
If you or your organization would like to provide a "trunk" at our trunk or treat or you have questions, please contact the Church Office (office@franklinumc.org) or message Franklin United Methodist Church.

Franklin Lions Club schedule their annual Trunk or Treat - Oct 29

"It’s time to start getting prepared for our annual Trunk or Treat! Come and park your car or walk to the high school. Get up close and explore all the amazing decorations. 
We are looking for businesses, organizations, groups and friends to come and display your trunk. No entry fee. We ask that you please supply your own candy and stay for duration.  
Please scan the QR code if you would like to sign up to be a trunker.

Trunk or Treat scheduled for Oct 23 by Franklin Lions Club at FHS

The Franklin Lions Club has scheduled their "Trunk or Treat" for Oct 23 at Franklin High School. Details on how to participate are shown below and in the flyer attached:
  • Dress up in your Favorite Costume.
  • Enter Franklin High School through Panther Way.
  • Follow the signs and stop at each display for a Treat. 
  • Please stay in your vehicle. 
  • Monetary Donations Accepted. 100% will go to Food Pantry

Families! Dress up and join us in the library parking lot for a safe, little-kid friendly afternoon of trick-or-treating in the daylight! The parking lot will be full of decorated trunks and activities!!

Due to the wet weather forecasted for tomorrow, the Trunk or Treat event will be moving indoors! Masks for all persons (ages 2+) regardless of vaccination status is required inside our facility. A limited supply of masks will be supplied at the door. No hot dogs will be served due to the change of location. We hope to see you tomorrow afternoon! All are welcome. Bring a friend.

Franklin's Event Outlook: Oct 22 - Oct 28, 2021

Let's enjoy the warmth today as the cooler fall weather comes in for the weekend. Farmers Market has its penultimate run today with the Library hosting kids events. FPAC closes out its performance of Mary Poppins this weekend with 4 shows scheduled. Still time to get a pumpkin at the Pumpkin patch in front of St John's Episcopal and then stop by the Trunk or Treat hosted by the Franklin Lions in the FHS parking lot on Saturday.


And of course, early voting is open from 9 AM to 1:00 PM in the Municipal Building both Saturday and Sunday.
