"Franklin SEPAC, in cooperation with Franklin Public Library & Sweet Inspirations, an Inclusive Candy Store, will be handing out candy at tomorrow's Library Trunk-Or-Treat! 
Please come by to pick up a treat or or just to chat about SEPAC, Sweet Inspirations, or anything else!"

Trunk or Treat scheduled for Oct 23 by Franklin Lions Club at FHS

The Franklin Lions Club has scheduled their "Trunk or Treat" for Oct 23 at Franklin High School. Details on how to participate are shown below and in the flyer attached:
  • Dress up in your Favorite Costume.
  • Enter Franklin High School through Panther Way.
  • Follow the signs and stop at each display for a Treat. 
  • Please stay in your vehicle. 
  • Monetary Donations Accepted. 100% will go to Food Pantry

Families! Dress up and join us in the library parking lot for a safe, little-kid friendly afternoon of trick-or-treating in the daylight! The parking lot will be full of decorated trunks and activities!!

2 - trunk or treat at Franklin United Methodist
Due to the wet weather forecasted for tomorrow, the Trunk or Treat event will be moving indoors! Masks for all persons (ages 2+) regardless of vaccination status is required inside our facility. A limited supply of masks will be supplied at the door. No hot dogs will be served due to the change of location. We hope to see you tomorrow afternoon! All are welcome. Bring a friend.

Franklin's Event Outlook: Oct 22 - Oct 28, 2021

Let's enjoy the warmth today as the cooler fall weather comes in for the weekend. Farmers Market has its penultimate run today with the Library hosting kids events. FPAC closes out its performance of Mary Poppins this weekend with 4 shows scheduled. Still time to get a pumpkin at the Pumpkin patch in front of St John's Episcopal and then stop by the Trunk or Treat hosted by the Franklin Lions in the FHS parking lot on Saturday.


And of course, early voting is open from 9 AM to 1:00 PM in the Municipal Building both Saturday and Sunday.

FM #366 Franklin Lions to hold "Trunk Or Treat" - October 24, 2020 (audio)

FM #366 = This is the Franklin Matters radio show, number 366 in the series. 

This shares my conversation with the organizers of the Reverse Trunk or Treat scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2020. The conversation was conducted via conference bridge to adhere to the ‘social distancing’ requirements of this pandemic period.

In the conversation, I talked with Kristine Shanahan, President of the Franklin Lions, and Lions member Heather Sansoucy.

Reverse Trunk or Treat - Oct 24, 2020

"Get dressed up, pile in your car. Enter the high school through Panther’s Way and follow the signs stopping at each decorated site to collect a goody. 
 
This is a free event. Monetary donations will be accepted for the Franklin Food Pantry.

Must stay in Vehicle in order to obey COVID regulations. Truckers will be wearing masks and gloves and handing out individual bags of candy."
