Fire Dept stretched with multiple runs
Thursday, Franklin Firefighters Local 2637 posted:
"This morning, L2637 members have responded to multiple simultaneous calls for service. All off-duty members have been called in to assist with calls.
A total of 10 emergencies from 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM, including an extended extrication of a male party with an open leg fracture on top of a roof. As all Franklin engines were tied up on calls, a Norfolk engine and Wrentham engine had to respond in their place to the extended operation.
Fire Dept stretched with multiple runs
During this operation, emergencies continued to come in. All Franklin ambulances were committed to calls, resulting in two (2) Bellingham ambulances, a Medway ambulance, and a Millis ambulance all having to respond to calls in Franklin.

**LIBRARY NEWS**
Volunteer Tutors Needed!
We're looking for more tutors for our ESL & Adult Literacy Program. If you're looking to make a difference right in your own community, this is a great opportunity! The only volunteer requirements are a High School diploma, the ability to speak English clearly, and being age 18 and up. No prior teaching experience needed! Volunteer tutors and students do not need to be Franklin residents. If interested, please fill out the registration form on the library's ESL page.
Library Hours
The Library's hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Library will be closed Monday November 11th for Veteran's Day. The library will be closing early at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27th and closed on Thursday November 28th for Thanksgiving Day.

Volunteers are always needed for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and Tax Counseling for the Elderly programs… better known as VITA and TCE.
Many volunteer roles are available. You can help as a greeter, an interpreter, and many other roles, but most of all, we need tax preparers. Training for certification is provided!
