Girls Basketball = Franklin, 44 @ Dartmouth, 60 – Final
– Dartmouth only had four players on the score sheet, but behind 31 from senior star Kat Cheeseboro and 21 from sophomore Olivia Faria, the Indians rolled to a big non-league win. Franklin fell behind by six after one and was outscored 19-6 in the second quarter to find itself down big at halftime. Dartmouth added three points to its lead in the third, before Franklin rallied behind seven points from Tessah Rodrigues and six from Juliana Owen to win the fourth, 19-13. Cheeseboro was unstoppable in the first half, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc and scoring 15 of Dartmouth’s 16 points in the first, and adding eight more in the second. Faria was lights out from deep, knocking down six three-pointers. Rodrigues led the Panthers, who were missing guards Elle Bonacci and Ava Bonney, with 11 points. Sophia Sacramone and Lena Malymina (all in the first quarter) each scored seven. Chloe Fales added six points, as Franklin saw its seven-game win streak come to a close.
