FHS girls soccer team (video) posts a win, boys team get a tie on Wednesday

Via Twitter, Franklin TV, and our subscription to HockomockSports.com, we share the results of the Fall sports competition for Franklin High School  on  Wednesday, October 15, 2025

Boys Soccer = Franklin, 2 @ Sharon, 2 – Final
- Franklin scored twice within a 10-minute span in the second half to erase a one-goal deficit but Sharon equalized with less than 10 minutes to go as the Panthers and Eagles each secured a point. The Eagles staked a 1-0 lead at halftime after scoring midway through the first half. Senior Aidan Araujo bought the visitors level midway through the second half and then minutes later, junior Zach O’Mahony O’Sullivan put the Panthers ahead. Sharon knotted it at 2-2 with eight minutes to go.

Girls Soccer = Sharon, 0 @ Franklin, 4 - Final
– The Panthers won their fourth straight match (and made it 18 goals in that stretch) to stay in a first-place tie with KP atop the Kelley-Rex. Gwen Holland opened the scoring for Franklin, assisted by Morgan Lovell. The game remained 1-0 going into the break, but the Panthers added three more goals in the second half to seal the victory. Holland assisted the second goal, setting up Sophia Horton. Laila Rosen added a third with a strike from distance. Lily Strong wrapped up the scoring, off Lovell’s second assist of the night. Cami Towers recorded the shutout for the Panthers.

You can help this family facing eviction

Hello

My name is Melissa.

My good friend, Dawn Megna, and her husband Rick of Franklin, MA are currently facing eviction. They are both out of work because of a diagnosis of lung cancer. They were both diagnosed within 15 months of each other.

Donate Now to Save the Megna Family from Eviction!
Donate Now to Save the Megna Family from Eviction!

They’re good hearted and hard working people who are in the midst of the most challenging time of their lives. They desperately need assistance and I’m reaching out to anyone who could help me get the word out about their current predicament.

I just created a GoFundMe. Is there any way that you could write an article about them to increase publicity for the GoFundMe campaign? Is there anywhere on your newspaper’s website where I could post the link? Can I post the link to your Facebook page?

They also have a teenage daughter Ashley who is medically disabled. It’s a tough situation all around and I’m trying to do my part to help them. Any help, advice, or guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
