FHS Girls Lacrosse top Bishop Guertin (NH) on Tuesday

Via HockomockSports.com and Twitter, we share the results of the spring sports competition for Franklin High School on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. We also provide the link to the full set of Hockomock League results below.

Girls Lacrosse = Franklin, 8 vs. Bishop Guertin (N.H.), 7 – Final 

– Kaitlyn Carney completed her hat trick with five minutes to go to break a tie game and help Franklin score a win over New Hampshire’s top team in Bishop Guertin. The first half finished level at 6-6, and each team scored just once in the first 15 minutes of a low scoring second half. Carney’s goal gave the Panthers the lead, and a yellow card to the visitors allowed Franklin to kill out the clock. Carney also had an assist and was strong on draws (seven controls). Katie Peterson also had three goals for Franklin while Lindsay Atkinson scored twice and Katie Ryan found the back of the net once. Julia Flynn also had some key draws while Peyton Crandall had a standout performance defensively with four caused turnovers.
