Marcil took first in both the 100 back (qualifying for sectionals) and anchored a sweep in the 100 fee (followed by Matt Brewster and Andrew Collins). Marcil was joined by Collins, Brewster, and Zach Dorrance to win the 200 free relay. Alex Harrop added a first place finish in the 100 fly.

Register O'Donnell's "Suits for Success" Program Makes a Donation to the Needham Community Council

Recently, the Norfolk Registry of Deeds, as part of its "Suits for Success" program, donated boxes and racks of clothing and shoes to the Needham Community Council.

The "Suits for Success" program, developed by Register William O'Donnell, in partnership with several local charities, collects donations of suitable clothing to be distributed to groups like the Needham Community Council and to individuals who may need appropriate attire for employment interviews.

The Council accepts donations of clothing to be sold at its popular thrift shop. Programs funded by the thrift shop include a food pantry, an English language learning program, a medical equipment lending program, and a transportation program. It also partners with "Karma of Clothing" to provide eligible women with clothing from its thrift shop and consultations with trained personal clothing stylists.

"We greatly appreciate Register O'Donnell's efforts to assist us in supporting our programs and helping us to provide much needed services to our neighbors in need", stated Judy Lambert, Needham Community Council's program director.

Register O'Donnell remarked, "We're happy to assist the Community Council. I thank all those who donated to our "Suits for Success" program and I hope other local residents and businesses will consider making a clothing donation. The program is truly needed, and it's a great resource for the community."

Franklin.TV: Merry Mid-January?

by Pete Fasciano, Executive Director 01/09/2022

Now that the holidays and their distracting festivities are in the rear-view it’s time
to face the music. (dramatic soap-opera style organ stinger) Winter is really here.
Pop a Swiss Miss Cocoa pod in the Keurig and break out the mini-marshmallows.

Cozycurl up with your fave creature comforts until Punxsutawney Phil (our fave
creature)says it’s over. All eyes (and hopes) rest on Gobbler’s Knob come Feb 2.
Valentine’s Day?

A blip on the romance radar.

President’s Day and the faux excitement of Fantastic Car Deals?
Mercantile noise.

Merry Mid-January?
Merry Mid-January?
I gaze out the window with a wistful longing for
Spring while light snow wafts its hypnotic dance.
It looks postcard perfect – for minutes at a time.
A seductive illusion in the first glimmer of dawn.

Last month’s merry has lost its luster for many.
This is when merry matters more. Resolved For
2022: Keep some merry throughout the Winter
and across the year by rendering small bits of
kindness here and there where possible.

Go on. Engage. Perpetrate frequent, deliberate,
wanton, random acts of kindness.

In so doing, we can make 2022 a wonderful year,
perhaps even in spite of itself.

May 2022 smile warmly, kindly upon us all.
And – as always –
Thank you for listening to wfpr●fm.
And, thank you for watching
