Jayden Consigli and Luke Davis; 2 of the Ten Boys Lacrosse Players to Watch for 2022 Hockomock League

HockomockSports.com has posted their listing of the Ten Players to Watch for 2022 for Boys Lacrosse. We shared the info on Jayden Consigli and Luke Davis of FHS and provide the link to the full listing.

JAYDEN CONSIGLI, JUNIOR – FRANKLIN
Franklin scored 302 goals in 19 games last season, far and away the highest-scoring team in the Hockomock (by more than 100 goals), and Consigli was an important cog in the heart of that dynamic attack. In his first season for the Panthers, he scored 45 goals (one of three Franklin players to top 40 goals last year) and had 27 assists. He was third on the team and fifth in the Hock with 72 points.

Quick and agile, Consigli is tough to stay in front of whether he has the ball or is making cuts off it. His movement and his ability to find open spaces created problems for opposing defenses, who couldn’t just focus on wherever the ball was located. A talented finisher, Consigli was also a strong passer, picking out teammates on the run to create scoring chances from a variety of spots. After reaching the South final last spring, Franklin is looking to make a big splash in the first statewide tournament and Consigli’s attacking threat will be a critical piece of the Panthers’ success.

LUKE DAVIS, JUNIOR – FRANKLIN
The Panthers were unstoppable at times last season, as they racked up 302 goals as a team. Davis was one of the main reasons why. He scored a league-high 56 goals last year and added 27 assists. He was second in the Hock with 83 points. Continuing the family legacy at Franklin (Jake is at UMass Lowell and Will at St. Anselm), Davis has the strength to hold off defenders, making it very difficult to dislodge the ball once he gets it, and has a strong, accurate shot that he can unleash from a standstill or on the move.

With his quick release, Davis keeps goalies on their toes because he is capable of picking the top corner from just about any angle. One of the most creative finishers in the league, he scored in a variety of ways, from distance and around the cage, and came up with big goals during Franklin’s run to the South final. With the statewide tournament kicking off this season, Davis will be counted on to again provide the firepower to keep the Panthers competing with the state’s best.

HockomockSports.com: FHS baseball preview for Spring 2022 season

HockomockSports.com has published their preview of the baseball teams for the Hockomock League. The Franklin portion of the article is shared here along with the link to read the full article covering the remainder of the league.

FRANKLIN
2021 Record: 16-2
2021 Finish: Reached Div. 1 South Final
Coach: Zach Brown

Franklin graduated some of the best players in the league after last season, but the Panthers still have a loaded lineup and a deep and talented pitching staff that could result in a very deep playoff run.

Not many teams could lose one of the best hitters in the league (Nate Cooke, 0.429) and one of the best catchers in the league (Jake Fitzgibbons, 0.353) and still boast one of the best lineups in the league but that’s how deep the Panthers are. Jack Marino, Ben Jarosz, and Chris Goode were all among the league leaders offensively a season ago, and Franklin also has sophomore Henry Digiorgio and junior Eisig Chin back after picking up a year of varsity experience. Junior Ryan Gerety, a Northeastern commit, is one of the best fielders in the region and is very dangerous at the plate.

And after surrendering a league-low 40 runs last season, Franklin returns its entire rotation. Jacob Jette had a great junior season and will be one of the best pitchers in the Hock while junior Alfred Mucciarone will look to build upon a solid sophomore campaign. Relievers James Kuczmiec and Ethan Voellmicke dominated last season, coming in time after time and shutting opponents down.

Jack Marino added an RBI and two runs and sophomore Henry Digiorgio had a hit and a run scored.

Softball = Canton, 0 @ Franklin, 12 – Final (5 inn.)
– Aislinn Lavery set the tone in the circle and at the plate for the Panthers, who opened the season with a big win over visiting Canton. Lavery allowed just one hit with six strikeouts in five innings of work, and then led off the game with a triple and scored on a fielder’s choice from Julia White. Carly Pellegri aded three hits, including a double, with four RBI and three runs scored, Katy Liberman had two hits, including a double, and two RBI, and Avery Chalk added two hits. Freshman Sarah Boozang had an RBI single to score Reece Allen (triple).
Boys Lacrosse = Attleboro, 2 @ Franklin, 22 – Final – Franklin exploded for nine goals in the opening quarter and never looked back in its first game of the season. Junior Jayden Consigli scored six goals and classmates Luke Davis and Tyler Sacchetti each added four apiece, all in the first half. The team of senior Tim O’Keefe and sophomore Ahan Shetty won 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles and the team of senior Sameen Shaik and sophomore Jay Gorgas secured a 6-0, 6-0 win at second doubles. Canton’s Max Kupferman won 6-4, 6-2 at first singles and Suraj Ramanthan took a 6-1, 6-1 decision at second singles.

Girls Tennis = Franklin, 3 @ Canton, 2 – Final
– A sweep in doubles action plus a hard fought win at third singles gave the Panthers the close win on the road at Canton. Sarah Schiavo battled her way to a 6-4, 7-5 win at third singles to clinch the win for the Panthers. The team of Amulya Jayam and Shriya Rasish won 6-4, 6-3 at first doubles while Chloe Essam teamed up with Sydney Tolonen for a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles for the Panthers. Register O'Donnell Encourages Use of the Registry’s Social Media

Moving forward into what appears to be another busy year at the Norfolk Registry of Deeds, Register William P. O’Donnell today restated the importance he places on the Registry’s use of social media platforms to communicate directly with the citizens of Norfolk County.

“Communication with our users,” noted O’Donnell, “is a priority at this Registry of Deeds. Our doors may close at the end of the business day but that doesn’t mean the Registry stops working. Our website www.norfolkdeeds.org  allows users to look up and view scanned images of over 8 million land documents dating back to the Registry’s beginnings in 1793. Users can also access our website to learn about our latest consumer protection programs and news relating to registry business. Our information is accessible not only from workstations and laptops, but also from smartphones and tablets.”

Register O’Donnell further remarked that a declaration form of the popular Homestead Act can be downloaded, filled-in and printed. A Homestead declaration provides a homeowner with limited protection against the forced sale of their primary residence to satisfy unsecured debt up to $500,000 or $1,000,000 for two owners if both owners are over the age of 62.

The Registry also provides a free Consumer Notification Service. This program alerts a person anytime a land document has been recorded against their name in Norfolk County.

Additionally, there is valuable county real estate information that can be accessed, researched and tracked. Anyone interested in the number of residential and commercial properties sold or the average prices of property sold can find that information.

Besides the Registry website, the other forms of social media utilized by the Registry of Deeds include Facebook - facebook.com/NorfolkDeeds and Twitter - twitter.com/NorfolkDeeds. “The Norfolk County Registry of Deeds,” noted the Register, “has utilized Facebook and Twitter to provide information to the general public. By utilizing these platforms, Norfolk County residents can learn more about home ownership and other important consumer initiatives like protecting themselves against Deed Scam rip-offs.”

The Registry has also filmed multiple public service announcements (PSA’s) which are available on the Registry’s website and YouTube. These PSA’s have touched on a variety of relevant issues such as assistance for residents who have received a Notice to Foreclose Mortgage from a lender.

Register O’Donnell concluded, “At the Registry of Deeds, we recognize the value of using social media platforms to forward important information to Norfolk County residents. If you have questions related to real property, I recommend you take a look at our social media offerings. As important as these social media offerings are, the Registry of Deeds has a Customer Service Center at 1-781-461-6101 where members of the public can seek assistance and speak directly with a member of our staff during business hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.”

To learn more about these and other Registry of Deeds events and initiatives, like us at facebook.com/NorfolkDeeds or follow us on twitter.com/NorfolkDeeds and/or Instagram.com/NorfolkDeeds.

The Norfolk County Registry of Deeds is located at 649 High Street in Dedham.  The Registry is a resource for homeowners, title examiners, mortgage lenders, municipalities and others with a need for secure, accurate, accessible land record information.  All land record research information can be found on the Registry’s website www.norfolkdeeds.org.  Residents in need of assistance can contact the Registry of Deeds Customer Service Center via telephone at (781) 461-6101, or email us at registerodonnell@norfolkdeeds.org.
