Respectfully, the Library and Senior Center calendars are too full of events to include all their events so we tend to focus on the major events. Town and School meetings are also kept separate. Links for all the calendars are shared here:

Second Sunday Speaker: “History in Our Backyard!”

Dean College Professor. Dr. Rob Lawson, presents “History in Our Backyard!” Congressman Tip O’Neill is remembered as saying all politics is local. All history is local too.

In this interactive presentation, Dr. Lawson will share a variety of examples where “big” history (national/global) meets local history stories. Wars, pandemics, and natural disasters are painful reminders of how big events can affect local communities, and Franklin is no exception.

Together, we’ll encounter a couple of Franklin history “puzzles” and explore some of the film and digital history initiatives that are making our local history accessible and relevant right now.

Bring your curiosity and put on your thinking cap as we explore the history in our backyard! at the Franklin Historical Museum.

Museum open 1-4, program starts at 1:15. FREE

Voices of Franklin: Call to protect your financial data

Citizens of Franklin:  We are facing a crisis, and we need all Members of Congress to fight back. Join your friends and neighbors in telling Senators Warren & Markey as well as our Representative in Congress, Jake Auchincloss, that we demand they use every tool at their disposal to fight back against the takeover of our government and the federal funding freeze. They must act now to halt the process on the nomination of Russell Vought for OMB Director and use all levers at their disposal to fight the assault on our communities.

Elon Musk and his associates now have access to all U.S. citizens private and financial information, Social Security info, Tax Info, Addresses, Banking Info, etc.  He is dangerous and was not elected by any voter in this country.

Please protect yourself and your families.

Boston Globe: "Five things to know about Trump’s school choice executive order"
"5 things to know about Trump’s school choice executive order"
"President Trump last week signed an executive order to expand school choice.

The move has drawn praise from conservatives who have long-advocated for families to be able to use taxpayer dollars to support their children’s private or faith-based education.

Critics, meanwhile, see Trump’s order as an attempt to dismantle public education, trampling student rights in the process."
