With half of #MA water system operators over age 50, now is a great time to start a career in public drinking water.

Water utilities have a strong tradition of mentoring, with experienced water system operators sharing their knowledge daily, on the job, with newer colleagues.

Boston Globe: Measles is resurging across the country. Here are the New England towns most vulnerable to an outbreak (map)

"After decades of control, measles is resurging across the United States, pushing the country closer to losing its elimination status. While Massachusetts and other New England states remain well-protected because they have high vaccination rates, Boston researchers have found a new way to identify small pockets that are surprisingly vulnerable to outbreaks."

State Representative Jeff Roy: A Look Back at 2025

State Representative Jeff Roy's latest newsletter is now available. It reflects on 2025 and more.

A Look Back at 2025

As we embark on a new year, the video below provides a look at 2025 in photos. It captures a year of celebrations, ribbon cuttings, and meetings with constituents, students and stakeholders. We cultivated the arts, manufacturing, recreational facilities, MBTA improvements, and historical markers. We brought the community together for conversations about substance use disorder, climate change, antisemitism, housing, food insecurity, tourism, and educational improvements. We honored veterans, our nation’s 250th birthday, students, educators, and our  community partners. It was a whirlwind year but capturing these moments shows we have a lot to be thankful for in these complicated times. So please enjoy this trip down memory lane and accept our Best Wishes for a Happy New Year!

Franklin's District Chef, Steve Foote, inspired this locally-sourced meal featuring slow braised tender strips of top round beef from Weatherlow Farms, in Westport, MA, alongside bright green Harvesting Good broccoli from Maine. The Savory beef and broccoli are served over a creamy, citrus-infused lemon ginger risotto.

Completing the plate is a sweet crisp Gala apple from Cooper Farms, also in Maine
