Why are there multiple calendars?
Respectfully, the Library and Senior Center calendars are too full of events to include all their events so we tend to focus on the major events. Town and School meetings are also kept separate. Links for all the calendars are shared here:

Franklin Unified Basketball Community Night - Nov 25 at 5:30 PM

One of the best nights of the year - Franklin Unified Basketball Community Night!

Franklin Unified Basketball Community Night - Nov 25 at 5:30 PM
Franklin Unified Basketball Community Night
Not only does the Franklin Unified team play against our amazing police, fire, administration, teachers and alumni, but we are also raising money for the Franklin Food Pantry!

Please join us on Monday, November 25th at 5:30 PM in the Franklin High School Gym to support our programs and help us reach our fundraising goal for a wonderful cause.

Can’t make it that night but would still like to support the Franklin Food Pantry please use this link or scan the QR code below.

Food pantry needs are higher than ever and any and all support is much appreciated.

During FY24 which ended June 30th, The Pantry delivered 4,223 "backpacks" of food to the schools which reached an average of 120 students each week.  These backpacks provide children with food for the weekend. The program has distributed 853 "backpacks" of food so far this school year.  We expect that number to grow.

Franklin Art Association will sponsor a Collage Workshop by Lenny Moskowitz - Dec 7

On Saturday, December 7 the Franklin Art Association will sponsor a Collage Workshop by Lenny Moskowitz

Lenny received his B.F.A. from the Philadelphia College of Art and his M.F.A. from Michigan’s Cranbrook Academy. He has taught at Quinnipiac University for 15 years, at various art centers in New England and has been an artist in residence in several places, including Weir Farm in Wilton, Connecticut, the Anderson Center in Minnesota, and the Art Association of Nantucket. He also exhibits his work widely.

Through demonstrations and individual guidance students of all levels will be introduced to using collage as a means of exploring landscape, still life, or abstraction. It is designed to simplify the creation of subjects by transforming them into large shapes and simple areas of value and color. We will work with magazine pages collected for color.

Students will need to bring scissors, sketchpad, pencils, charcoal, magazines, glue or glue stick, necessary painting materials, etc. Acrylic painters also will need a spray water bottle. An acrylic matte medium is recommended.

The workshop will take place at Franklin TV, 23 Hutchinson St, Franklin on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 am–3:30 pm. The fee is $65.

To register, contact Susan Plume at susan_plume@yahoo.com or text 508-846-2589 and send a check payable to FAA to: Treasurer, Franklin Art Association, 279 East Central St., PO 289, Franklin, MA 02028
